AXLE TRANS Bottom of Form This would be great car to restore and build a Shelby clone, Eleanor replica or Restomod to your own taste. This car is an original GT from the factory and I have the Deluxe Marti Report to verify this. The car was originally a CandyApple Red exterior with Black GT stripes and black interior. 289 4V V8 with 4spd and factory AC. This would make an awesome car ! The best part about this Mustang Fastback is the Body! I had a repair shop weld in new full length floorpans, both quarter panels and a battery apron. Otherwise, the car is solid! The front frame rails and shock towers are perfect. The trunk floor and rear frame rails are good and solid. The doors and fenders are original and solid. The trunk lid was replaced. There is still body work to do before you would want to paint the car, but at least the rust repairs have been done. I had them spray both sides of all panels that were replaced with rust preventative so it shouldn’t come back. Another good point with this car is that the car does start up and run, however it is not road worthy yet ! I was told the engine has been rebuilt. The engine is clean and does have good compression but I cannot confirm what the mileage is on the engine. I know the brakes need work. The front brakes are the disc brakes from the factory that come on all GT models. The interior is pretty much all there. The carpet is new. The dash pad and seats are in decent condition. There were no door panels, armrest or kick panels on the car when pictures were taken, but they are included and will be installed on the car this week. Also, having them install the 4 speed shifter this week. All Vin #’s and door tag match and the car includes clear VA title and Marti report. The red Fastback pictured is an example of what this car would look like completed. Very nice. (Why would you spend $16,000 on a dynacorn body and only get a shell with no glass, interior, engine, trans, trim, or even a ford vin # !) A deposit of $1000 is due within 48 hours of the ending of the auction. And the balance within 7 days.
