THIS SALE IS FOR A 1978 CUSTOM DODGE VAN. This is an authentic and original 1978 built and customized van. This van was built by the Van Man from Indiana and due to the theme has been dubbed the ICE VAN. This Dodge has low miles and features a 360 engine and automatic transmission. It has factory A/C does blow (needs charged) and also has a frige. The rims are authentic and original Jackman aluminum Wagons. It has a funky Zenith TV AC/DC B/W with all the orig. paperwork! Blue Crushed/Shag carpet throughout and you wouldn't expect anything less. Wood trim on the roof and has a skylight. Rear seat folds into a bed. Captains chairs, table and TV as mentioned with a refrigerator. The interior is above average and doesn't smell old or musty. Huge side window behind the drivers door provides a TV view of the outside world for everyone inside looking out. Passenger barn door style doors. The rear side windows slide open and have screens. The rear door windows pop out/open. All to enjoy the nice air. There is above head storage in the drivers compartment for a CB etc. I have a vintage 8 track player I will throw in just because. It has a tow package w/trailer wiring and the original blue colored gas cap. Brakes are good. Tires have great tread but are old. The van was found in NC and brought to Ohio. It is unrestored and no body work appears to ever have been done. Van runs good and would only benefit with a tuneup and simple fluid changes and routine maintenance. Antifreeze is good and green as it should be. Updates done include carb rebuilt last summer. Again would benefit with new curtins and a carpet shampoo. The paint is original and being a light color (blue) could be touched up. The van is solid. There are minor rust spots that could easily be repaired and touched up. The worst spot is pictured. The murals show nice and are as photographed. They show normal aging and fading. The right side tail light has a crack. Lastly the wiper motor (transmission) arms need to be reattached to the motor. Motor works great though. I have kept this van as it was found. Only mild exterior cleaning and preserving what was here just as it was. Doors all open and shut as they should and the locks operate with the same key as the ignition. I purchased this van to attend the 2012 Mopar Nationals in Columbus Ohio. At the last minuite my plans changed and could not attend. This years feature was the Dodge Van. If you did not know old school vans are making a comeback....if you can find them. Reproduction vans are being made to recreate the look and feel but who is into fakes or wanting to spend $10K and up? Not me! I know vintage vans. I have owned a DENIMACHINE /Coca-Cola Levis Hot Rod Magazine giveaway 76 Ford. Several Chevy and Ford Vans and even a 1978 Firestone Super Stones Ford Van Go Kart. Dodge vans are by far the most unique and you will agree. The van is far from mint but has the great patina you cannot copy and just enough little things to improve/update to make it yours. HALF OF BID PRICE is the deposit and must be received within 48 hours of auction end and will be non refundable. We do accept pay pall however not on vehicle sales. So please do not make travel plans if the deposit has not been recieved. It doesn't matter if you are located 5 miles away or 5000 miles. The deposit must be made no exceptions. This is a serious auction and the terms are to identify deadbeats early on in the process. 3. Final payment must be received within 5 business days after close of auction. 4.
