Vehicle Detail
This 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser is in good condition for the age. The vehicle has always been dependable in the time I have owned it. The vehicle starts and the transmission shifts as it should. The A/C does not blow cold and I haven't looked in to why. It might just need to be recharged. The heater does work, however. I replaced the factory radio with a Scion Pioneer CD unit. Although it fits in the space provided, it does stick out a bit, but this never bothered me. The sunroof is inoperable and has dropped a little on the driver's side. This is a common problem with these models. The interior of the truck is in good condition for it's age, but it does have the normal wear and tear that is expected for a vehicle of this age. The driver's side seat has some tears which can be seen in the pictures. The carpet has some stains as well. The power windows work, but they are somewhat slow. The power locks work, but the truck won't lock with the key. The paint if faded, peeling, and oxidized on the hood, roof, and tailgate. The sides look better, but they appear to have been repainted at some point. There is a set of matching Michelin tires of the correct size with plenty of tread, but they do have some signs of dryrot. When I purchased the truck, I rebuilt the front axles with genuine Toyota parts because the birfield housings were leaking. Although they no longer leak, they do make a clicking sound when turning sharp either left or right which is a common problem. This didn't bother me, so I didn't replace them. The truck does have several oil leaks. Also, the steering box leaks at times, though it hasn't in the past week. I installed a new Toyota thermostat in the truck. I have receipts for all parts I put on the truck. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. Also, I have been honest in my description of the truck, but could have left something out. The actual mileage of the truck might differ slightly as it is still being driven on occasion. If you have any questions about anything, please ask before bidding or hitting the "buy it now" button.
