The trike kit is still under warranty, 3 year 1 million miles. The kit was $8000 unpainted and uninstalled. The bike is also in fantastic condition, with a low 28,000 miles it is just broke in. Here is the reasoning behind buying a roadsmith trike conversion. The roadsmith kit has a fully independent rear suspension, this gives it the great ride. Motor trike and other brands use a straight axle. So when you hit a bump in the road with your left rear tire the right rear tire is also effected by the same bump, even though the right rear tire did not hit the bump. A fully independent rear suspension is the way to go. It is a lot more expensive than a straight axle. The older I get I don't want to bounce down the road, I want to glide down it. The roadsmith kit also has disk brakes, as opposed to drum on the motortrike. The roadsmith kit also uses an automotive grade heavy duty driveshaft and cv joints. A true track stabilizer bar, which is a big deal on windy days and when a semi is near. It is also 8" longer than the other conversions which also contributes to its smoother more stabile ride.
