The Elise is a track-ready car with minimal interior comforts, nearly no cargo space and a rock-hard suspension. It's also one of the fastest, best-handling cars available. It offers supercar acceleration and handling in a striking design. The base Elise gets to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. But the secret to the Elise's abilities is its light weight. The base Elise tips the scales at an extremely svelte 1,984 lbs. The Toyota-sourced 1.8L 4-cylinder engine only makes 189 horsepower, but with so little car to push around, it allows the engine's free-revving spirit to shine. The interior of the Elise is spartan, which isn't unusual for a car built for speed. Standard features include air conditioning, HID headlights, an anti-theft system, a leather-trimmed Momo steering wheel, aluminum gearshift knob and handbrake trim, a premium audio system and performance tires. Standard safety and performance features include front air bags, stowage bag for the soft top, LED taillights, daytime running lights and cast-alloy wheels. The standard anti-lock braking system comes with Lotus/AP Racing and Brembo calipers, plus 4-wheel ventilated, cross-drilled disc brakes. This vehicle has the much desired Performance Value Package and includes almost everything in both the Touring and the Sport Packages. The Performance Value package includes equipment that is valued at $7000.00. Included in the Performance Package is the touring package, a body colored hardtop, Lotus variable traction control, upgraded Alcantara enhanced interior with contrasting red accents, sport seats, 16-spoke cast aluminum wheels in silver with a matching rear diffuser, Yokohama Advan A048 LTS ultra-high performance tires, Lotus Sport tuned suspension with short springs and Bilstein shocks, twin oil coolers and a harness bar. (This package also reduces the overall weight of the Elise by 20 pounds.) This vehicle is in perfect condition and also includes the Lifestyle premium paint option in carbon grey and the complete star shield paint protection package. This vehicle is still under full factory warranty and has already had it’s first required 1000 mile service at an authorized Lotus dealer. Current mileage is 1684. This pampered vehicle has never been tracked or damaged, always stored dry and has only been driven occasionally in dry weather. Aftermarket polycarbonate front lower clamshell protectors were also added (to an unblemished clamshell) to protect against any unwanted surface damage due to the low ground clearance.
