1982 "Datsun by Nissan" 280zx Turbo Coupe - Manual 5 Speed 116,125 original miles We have spent the last few years restoring this beautiful piece of history to how you see it now. A lot of new parts, new upholstery, new clutch, and newer paint. It is a 30 year old car, so do not expect a brand new car, but we have put work into it to make it look good and purr properly. Runs very well. This was the first model Z (280zx) that a turbocharged was offered on. The first year the Turbo was offered was 1981 (but only in Automatic transmission option.) Ours is the first year of the Manual 5-Speed Turbo (1982). It is all stock, aside from the work we have put into it: Work done to it in the last few years: New clutch (1 month ago) New upholstery - doors and seats (hardly sat in) New carpeting front and back Newer paint (small chips in a couple areas, see below) Engine: Recently Rebuilt ECU by Z Car Source of AZ Newer battery New AFM New catalytic converter New distributor Newer O2 sensor Newer fuel injectors Turbo Valve cover painted to match Newer EGR Valve Rebuilt Turbo Newer fuel filter Newer water pump A lot of the rubber hoses and plastic pieces have been replaced Paint is glossy and the light hits it well. It has some chipping in a few areas. The front bumper paint is peeling where it was painted over the rubber bumper. We had planned to revert back to the black-rubber bumpers, but we left it as-is, so the option is yours. Body is solid. Small crack in windshield. Good looking emblems (plastic Datsun + turbo signs) included, but not currently on. The suspension is stock, and could use new shocks. This is a great piece of history and a valuable collectable. This is, in my opinion, the best possible options for the model year. This is the RARE Turbo, Coupe, 5 Speed Borg-Warner transmission, with T-Tops. Clear registration. Passed smog with flying colors.
