BRICKLIN SV-1 MANUFACTURER & YEAR: BRICKLIN 1975 MODEL: SV-1 NEW or USED?: USED, NO WARRANTY, NEVER WRECKED, WITH SALVAGE TITLE DUE TO ESTATE TURNING OVER CAR TO AUTO RECYCLER (NO ACCIDENTS OR WRECKS!) NOTE that even tho this car is running, registered, legal, super cool, and all that including all paperwork straight, it's still considered a project--but one you can DRIVE LEGALLY while restoring! ITEM DESCRIPTION: RELISTED due to a FLAKE using the Buy It Now and then claiming he doesn't even own a computer. We will call you at auction end if we do not hear from you immediately, and if you do not respond, we will again relist the car and notify eBay of the problem. This car was turned over to an auto recycler because the estate did not want to deal with the old car sitting in the driveway. Anytime you sell a car to a wrecking yard, whether it runs or not or whether it's ever been in a 'totalled' accident, a salvage title is issued by California law. Never flooded or wrecked! So we took the car and brought it up to inspection standards at the DMV for VIN verification and to a licensed inspection station to make sure it was road worthy. And it is! New California plates, registered and legal and safe to drive. The car will need a lot of work! It needs to be completely restored. But with new tires it would be ready to go. We replaced the master cylinder and brake shoes and pads which we actually looking like recently replaced, but wanted to be sure. Interior is complete, but needs to be restored and installed. The GULLWING DOORS had been UPGRADED at some point and are about 95 percent operational. Above just under the photos is a fresh video of the doors working. They run by compressor, which charges while the car is running (compressor shown in third video0. There is a switch under the license plate that turns the compressor on. The door video shows the doors opening and closing after a fresh charge to the compressor. Air holds up to about 24 hours in our testing. They take about 3 seconds to OPEN and about 9-10 seconds to CLOSE. Just click this video above to view the doors opening, then the final video shows the compressor. As you may know, the original door opening system pretty much sucked, so many owners were able to install and aftermarket air system, which is what this has. The one thing wrong with the doors right now is the driver side solenoid won't activate. What this means is you have to open the door handle manually from inside to get in (as seen in videos). Once you do that, the door goes up fine. When the TANKS are FULL, the doors work fast, but when the compressor is running to fill the tank, the doors go about half speed. Has ORIGINAL RADIO and clock works. Radio doesn't work but it can be repaired if you want to remain original. Gas gauge not working. Other gauges work, temp, oil, tach speedo is intermittent and is probably just the cable. Body has cracks in acrylic. Rust is surface only NO ROT which is common on these cars! Windshield is CRACKED and needs replacing. Side rear windows are THERE but need installation. All trim is there, not in great shape, but there. Engine is ALL original, all equipment is THERE. Original wheels and 3 caps, the 4th cap is not original as you can see. Original steering wheel in decent shape, has no chunks at least! The photos if the car in the parking lot show how the car looks NOW, and the photos below are when we first got the car. No smog required on this year car in California, but you are responsible for any smogging or inspections in your own state.  This is an ORIGINAL WHITE Bricklin, as indicated by the 4th number in the VIN. The 4th number in the VIN is the color code, and the color ode for WHITE is the number FOUR. This is a true white Bricklin. From our looking closely at the body, it appears that the doors were at some point painted white over the white molded color. But, again, not being Bricklin experts, we just don't know for sure. Assume that it's been painted in some or all areas at some point, but must've been eons ago. Yes, body has issues (per the dozens of photos), and interior is complete but needing restoration. The brakes have been done, so it drives well for us around town here doing errands to keep it running regularly, and on the freeway here and there. It says it grabs 2nd and 3rd gear (and yes, this is an automatic!! Car sold AS IS just like any used vehicle with NO WARRANTY. This is a PROJECT driver car.
