Vehicle Detail
- Car must be picked up within seven days of auction end!- Full payment must be received within seven days of auction end! - If you're out of state your bids are more than welcome, but please contact me prior to bidding so we can arrange something. I cannot hold the vehicle for more than a few extra weeks as I am loosing my storage space! - Bidders with zero feedback will have their bids cancelled unless they contact me prior to placing a bid!I do apologize for the requirements which are super obvious to most folks, but due to a non paying no-show, this car had to be re-listed! Up for bid in this NO RESERVE auction is my 1976 Ford Gran Torino sedan. I have 24 images posted below. Opening bid is $460! The drivers fender and front bumper were recently damaged by someone taking a curve in the neighborhood too closely. The Torino was parked when it was hit. The damage is cosmetic and not really that bad - especially if you can do bodywork; I'd consider this old Ford to be a bodyshop special then. The car runs, drives and stops decently. It has just under 110k miles. It's got a 400 Cleveland with a Motorcraft 2bbl 2100 up top, then to a C6 with a nine-inch rear end out back. Sway bars front and rear. Newer shocks and brand new tires with less than 600 miles since mounted and balanced! Paint is showing its age, but shines up with a good wax. Roof has surface rust but no rot and needs painted or a new vinyl top. Interior is in fairly nice shape. Seat fabric is decent (not worn through, dry rotted or torn) with one burn and a few broken springs on the driver's side. Carpet is there, but is showing its age. Rear package tray fabric and card linings removed. A/C worked this summer, but wasn't the coldest. Heater works. Wipers and signals work. Original AM radio and mono speaker work well. Cruise works. I have set the opening bid very low because I want to see this car go to someone who will fix it. I have too many other vehicles to care for and I have decided to let this one go cheap. It's a Colorado survivor that I think deserves to be saved, and if that means I'm gonna loose what I've put in, so be it. Car IS NOT being sold for scrap, I would have already had it crushed if that was my desire. Has a couple small areas with cancer. All of them in the rear of the vehicle: One bad spot along the rear glass seam, one in the left rear fender. The rest of the car is remarkably rust free. Make sure to check the images posted. If there is something I forgot to mention, feel free to ask questions. Thanks for viewing and good luck!
