For auction at NO RESERVE is my 1956 Chrysler Windsor 4 door hardtop. This car was sold new and has always been in Austin, TX. The original owner kept the car until 2008 when she passed away and her heirs sold it to me. She always kept the car in fine driving condition and only covered 36,560 miles during all her years of ownership. I have the original clear Texas title. The car has the following equipment: 331 Polyspherical engine (250 hp with 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust), PowerFlite automatic transmission, Factory Air Conditioning, Tinted Solex Glass, Power Windows, Power Seat, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Town and Country radio with signal search and power antenna, Clock, and "Jiffy Jet" windshield washer. The colors are Emerald and Mint green exterior and interior. Condition: The car is mechanically very good. It starts, runs, drives, steers and stops like you'd expect a well maintained car with under 37,000 miles to. All electrical/power equipment operates properly except radio. A/C system works very well when charged but leaks refrigerant through compressor shaft seal. Radial tires with narrow white walls are like new. Original type bias ply tire in trunk. Paint appears to be all original and is oxidized. Some surface rust in places where paint is thin, but there is no rust through of any body panels, floor boards or trunk floor. Glass is all excellent with no chips, cracks, or delamination. Chrome and stainless in decent original condition with some dings and scuffs. Some chromed die cast parts have light pitting. Driver's front fender has dent at top of wheel opening but stainless spears not damaged. Original seat fabric has some tears both front and rear seat bottoms (The correctly reproduced seat materials are available through SMS). Original carpet has some staining under driver's feet but otherwise decent. Dash pad is completely intact with no cracks or warps. Steering wheel near perfect. Door panels and headliner are beautiful and completely intact with no tears. All die cast chrome interior pieces in great condition. Overall, I have kept the car in the same condition it was in when I bought it driving it only sparingly to maintain the low mileage.
