We acquired this vehicle from a new car dealer trade and have been told the vehicle was dealer serviced for it's 13,000 miles of use. You will not find a vehicle of this vintage with miles like this one on eBay or anywhere else. MechanicalDid I say next to new? This 2.0L engine literally runs like new. When I popped the hood, the sound of the engine was pleasing to the ears. There is no leaks around the gaskets and the engine does not burn any oil. The transmission shifts right on point with no hesitation or slips. The suspension is tight and handles beautifully. All the brake pads are thick with plenty of life left. PA state inspection is good until January 2013 and we currently see no reason it will not pass with flying colors remaining in this condition. CosmeticallyThe interior is clean and free from any rips, stains, tears, or burn holes. It appears to be a smoke free vehicle, with a clean ash tray and un-used lighter. It's a comfortable interior, as it was when it drove off the dealer lot back in 97. The exterior is in very good condition around the body with no paint damage, rust, or dents. I noticed a scuff mark or two on the passenger quarter panel, but nothing at all that takes away from the attractive, clean look this Contour represents. No prior collision damage repair is represented anywhere, this one was never hit or painted. It is overall an extremely clean vehicle in / out and shows all the signs of only13,000 original miles.
