The van has been well maintained at my foreign car repair shop. My customer bought a new vehicle when the trans started to go. The car has had all the factory maintenance and is in good shape other than the trans. It is still driveable to some degree. I have been driving it; take off in first and shift to high. Second and third gear are about gone. The AC works great, power windows, side doors, navigation all work. The engine runs strong. I have records for the timing belt and other work done. The van is definitely worth fixing. No guarantees, but I would say you could drive it home.
