Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 0 1 310 1767 Beckwith Crowe 14 3 2170 11.1287 0 0 0 1965 Triumph TR4A IRS – No Reserve! Low miles! It's the perfect time to buy a good winter restoration project. With desirable IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) have her on the road by spring. Midwest car from Iowa, not driven in winters, has been in storage on a concrete floor since 1991. The Body: Are you looking for a winter project? Something with "zest" and a good upside? This is a very solid TR4A with IRS, good chrome, straight lines and a solid frame with no signs of damage or repair, including on the rear . She has a couple of bumps and bruises here and there, but no major rust, dents or hacks other than one in the front passenger fender (See picture, this fender will need to be repaired or replaced). Everything is complete including all of the proper chrome, plus the fender beads, which are in good condition. The interior, seats, seat frames, rockers, fenders (inner and outer), bonnet, etc. The floors, trunk and spare tire compartment are also solid with only minor rust (no holes, see pictures) The paint is decent, but a new paint job would be worth the investment and will preserve this car for years to come. The door handles and latches are working properly and the doors all open and close as they should. The tires hold air but will need to be replaced. She runs good on an external gas tank (the gas tank needs to be cleaned and the fuel lines should be replaced) The wiring harness looks to have been replaced and all of the electrical seems to working except the ignition switch which will need to be replaced. The brake master cylinder will need to be replaced or rebuilt. The clutch slave cylinder is working and the transmission is in good working order. The carburetors could also use a good cleaning. I have her listed as a “Good Restoration Candidate” because it is not a recently restored car and I’ve yet to meet a Triumph TR that does not need work. This car could be driven “as is” with only minor mechanical improvements or restored to original condition. Sold as is. I can make this TR4 available for inspection with 24 hours notice. I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time.
