1965 MALIBU ALTERED WHEELBASE CAR. I purchased this car about 5 years ago,it was a rock solid 65 Malibu SS car that someone started restoring. I had planned on just finishing the restoration but the plans changed and it became a 60's altered wheelbase project. The rear axle was moved ahead 12" and the front tube axle was moved ahead 7". The quarter panels were stretched 1" and moved ahead 13" and the front fenders were also stretched 1" and moved ahead 5". The engine was also set back 7". It has a fiberglass trunk and hood. The fenders, quarters, hood and trunk were all sprayed with primer sealer after all work was done to them. The car was all hand lettered by Ted Turner. This car has maybe 200 miles on it since i finished it last summer. The car has made about a dozen passes at the track. The car runs and drives great. It is a real head turner and will draw a crowd anywhere it is taken. Here is a list of parts that the car has on it.
