1960 Mercedes 220S. Owned the car for the last 8 years. It was a daily driver until early 2007 when it was parked. Recently brought back to life with only an oil change and a battery charge, it is drivable now with a few items that need attention for daily use - headlight switch, clutch slave cylinder, front brake friction pad adjustment. Tires are 3 years old with less than 100 miles of use. Runs excellent (video available) but idle is sketchy, needs a very small amount of the manual choke to hold up when warm. I would guess once the old fuel is run through (I know, shame on me) it will perk right up. Cosmetically, paint is faded but buffs right up. Stainless is all there and excellent. Front chrome is good, rear is fair. Chip in windshield. Really good bondo job on front fenders, but paint is cracked and partly peeled away. Small bend in hood at hinge, could be straightened out. Hood opens and closes, but a bit sideways in the motion. Some rust underneath. Interior - it is all there, but some stuff is weak - the dash pad is history. 20% of the interior wood could use refinishing. Headliner is gone. All instruments are there and work great - speedo, dash lights... Sorry this is so cryptic, but I want to advertise the car accurately. THIS WILL NOT BE A SHOW CAR. But, it does drive great, and with a little time and $, you will have a great family project. Real head turner. Or you can use the parts car and make a rat rod limo. Or part it all out for triple the starting bid of this no-reserve auction. You decide. Local pick up only, car is also for sale locally, but I doubt it will magically disappear soon.
