Vehicle Detail

Look no further, this eye catching Scout 800 is one of kind and sure to please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUN, FUN, FUN IN THE SUN................ This 1968 International Scout 800 has been completely restored with the following:Only driven 300 miles since completed rebuild! Brand new body and paint professionally done by owner - straight as an arrow and smooth as butter, rust free, absolutely beautiful! Hood painted in satin charcoal. 8 point roll cage made of DOM tube. Seats from 2010 Jeep Wrangler. Brand new 35/12.50/17 Goodyear MTR Kevlar Tires (over $1,600). 8 Lug Alluminum Wheels. JAZ fuel cell behind rear seat (old tanks were removed). New electric fuel pump, new fuel lines. Professionally overhauled 305 Small Block Chevy engine with CAM and usual add-ons (headers, carb, intake, and distributor). All engine components were bought new. Nicely rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission. NP205 transfer case with twin sticks (was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and resealed). All new U joints throughout front to rear. New 105 AMP one-wire alternator. Newer radiator with powerful Mark VIII two speed fan (high speed will suck the shirt right off your back...runs cool at about 190 degrees while in town and off-roading in our 100+ degree weather). Front axle - Dana 44 large shafts with new wheelbearings and seals with 3.73 gears, locking hubs, 8 lug, high steer kit. Rear axle - Dana 70 with full floating 1.5 inch axle shafts, cleaned and new seals. 56" Chevy leaf springs in the rear. YJ springs in the front. 4 Bilstein shocks. Magnaflow muffler. Mostly new wiring. Completely new power 4-wheel disc brakes system, all new brake lines and hoses. Replaced floor pans with 18 gauge steel. Thick steel bumpers with tow hooks. No leaks, does not smoke, starts up smooth. Has stereo with MP3/Ipod jack (no CD or Cassette...not even an 8 track! :) Battery cutoff switch installed. Most bolts and screws replaced with new ones. Clean, clear AZ title. Purchased this car from an individual who planned to restore, but ran out of time, as it needed a total overhaul (just look at the original photo!) Need to Know: Transfer case is gear driven and rattles briefly when releasing the gas pedal, though it does not whine or hum and performs perfectly otherwise. Door glass not installed due to missing driver's side regulator, but glass is in good shape (we need all the breeze we can get out here). Gas gauge is backwards and shows full when empty and empty when full...just needs a proper fuel gauge. Has no top other than full length canvas, though I "believe" original top will fit around roll cage. No lockers, did not have time to install. Has manual steering, so a little difficult to turn while sitting still, but no problems while moving (we all need a little buffing up anyway!) Heater components in place, but no hoses ran to it because it's a "dry heat" out here!! On 100+ degree days, runs hotter on constant pull (i.e. steady inclines up hills). NOTHING TO HIDE HERE - SO PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS BEFORE BIDDING!!!! Please do not bid unless you can complete the transaction!!! Shipping is the complete responsibility of the buyer. Deposit due within 24 Hours, and Full Payment due within 7 days of auction close. On Oct-17-12 at 16:02:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Please read before bidding As I was looking over the Scout and my description I noticed a couple of errors and things I left out. 1-The engine was rebuilt not overhauled. Everything replaced was new. The crank, connecting rods, pistons and valves are original to the motor everything else is new down to the freeze plugs. It was cleaned with a hot bath and a ceritfied highly expienced mechanic did the work on motor and trans. 2- Wipers are not hooked up. Since we dont see much rain here I never needed them. They work off of vacuum and everything is there for them to work but never tried to see if they do. 3- Rear seat has only half the seat belts. It has the connectors in the middle but does not have the belts themselves. I seen them aftermarket for around $30-40. Please just ask if you would like to see pictures of something specific.
