Up for sale is my 1983 Jaguar XJS HE V12 I'm selling in order to get into other projects. Has clear title. This is a project and has been sitting for a while undriven. It runs and drives however the rear brake calipers leak so it's not safe to drive, front brakes work at the bottom of the pedal. I installed upgraded steering rack bushings. Transmission shifts normal, fluid not burnt. The body is pretty clean barely any rust, some just behind the doors on both sides and spot under rear bumper.. Car has 50,105 original miles. Needs rear brake calipers repaired (rebuilt or replaced as they leak), front brakes only work at bottom of pedal. Parking brake works. Interior is pretty nice but has dank smell. The wood trim is cracking and peeling in spots. The headliner is starting to come down in passenger rear corner. Seats mint and plush. Front exhaust is original, rear exhausts were replaced at some point, needs 2 joints re-clamped (may get to that). Shocks look to be original. Has original spare tire, no wear, no rot. Tires around the car have good tread but have rot and probably should be replaced. No radio present. Blinkers and wipers are not working at the moment, neither is climate controls. No idea about the AC. Drivers side window gets stuck halfway down but can go all the way down. Rubber around windshield is dry rot, the same for rear window (which is probably why car smells dank). Trunk has faint smell of gas. Engine starts up every time and runs smooth after a few minutes, I would tune up prior to running hard along with throttle shaft bushings and a distributor rebuild. NO DROPPED VALVES NO HEAD GASKET LEAKS. Engine leaks oil enough from valve cover gasket to cause some smoke once car is warm. Could have other leaks and transmission may leak as well. Rear end appears a little gunky but no drips. Needs attention but very solid project. Doors open and close like a brand new car. Comes with tool kit and misc extra parts like brake pedal cover.
