For sale is a rolling chassis that was pulled out of a great running and driving 1958 Corvette. The body is being used for a restomod project and we are offering the chassis and everything you see in the pictures to a new home. Perfect chassis and drivetrain for someone that is restoring a C1 Corvette and needs a great frame. I don't see any damage to this frame and typical minor surface scale that can easily be blasted off. I thought about painting the frame, but I wanted you to see exactly what you were getting without paint covering it up. The 283 engine is super strong and can easily leave leave rubber on the road and runs perfectly quiet. I wouldn't doubt that it has been rebuilt. The four speed transmission shifted perfectly when it was driven before disassembly and has a new shifter and shifter linkage set. The Holley carb, distributor, and generator have all been rebuilt. The front suspension has been rebuilt with new hardware, bushings, grease fittings etc. as well as new shocks and springs. The rear axles were redone and also has new front wheel bearings and seals. Also the front ball bearings were converted to tapered bearings. It drove and handled like new on the drive. Exhaust system looks fairly new and sounds good without any leaks. New white wall tires and the Corvette hubcaps look great. Looks to have a new electric fuel pump installed and a newer starter. THIS CAR HAD NO MECHANICAL ISSUES WHEN IT WAS DRIVEN A WEEK AGO.
