She has just over 19,800 miles and is in showroom condition. This beauty was originally purchased by Lydia Redfern of Lincoln, Nebraska on May 6th, 1963 and comes with the original sales receipt. There were a total of 6848 of these built and I am quite sure there are only a hand full in this kind of condition. She is an award winning car and if you are looking for a real cream puff then you are on to something. This car has only been in the hands of true collectors and has always been maintained. Mechanically, she is in excellent running condition. The original 401 Nailhead has never been rebuilt and is 100% factory. Of course belts and hoses have been replaced over the years but other then that, she is original. The exhaust has been redone but with factory parts and looks as is did when she left the factory. The car looks brand new from the paint, chrome, glass and the trim. There has been some paint work over the years due to a little fade but everything blends nicely and it's hard to tell what is original and what has been redone. You will not find any rust on this car period at all. From the floors, trunk and body this one is incredible rust free. Even the spare tire and original jack have never been removed. The trunk area looks like it was never used. You rarely see that type of preservation in a classic. The interior is just about flawless. I have never seen an original interior that looked so clean and bright. The original dealer plastic is still on the back seat and from my understanding has been sat in less then a dozen times. Everything from the chrome to door panels looks to be incredible preserved. This Buick Electra 225 is a true collectors car and I would consider her low #1 to very high #2.
