1998 Ford Windstar Minivan LX 3.8L V6, 140,000 miles The transmission needs service. It runs perfectly except the transmission leaks. I think it blew a pump seal or torque converter seal because there is fluid leaking where the transmission mates to the engine. It will probably be a cheap fix since seals are cheap if you can do the labor yourself, which would require pulling the transmission. The transmission is a rebuilt with about 50,000 miles on it. I would fix it but really not worth it to me as I dont need the vehicle and need to get rid of a few vehicles. Everything else is excellent running condition. I had just finished all the maintenace and repairs about two months ago. Here is a list of everything that was done: Oil and filter, Replaced fuel filter, replaced air filter, flushed cooling system, reaplaced spark plugs and wires, rear brake shoes, rear shocks, replaced water pump, replaced cam synchro/sensor, replaced passenger hub, replaced passenger front wheel bearing, replaced passenger control arm/ball joint, replaced front struts, replaced oil pressure switch, new MAF sensor. New tires were put on back in March and have over 95% tread on them, those alone were $500. New battery last fall. Air blows cold. Any questions just ask. Great utility vehicle.
