Vehicle Detail

One Owner 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 4x4 Clean, Accident-Free AUTOCHECK Report VIN: 1J4GS5875KP111025 I’m often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles. One of my best employees cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W. Halls and the back streets of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in North Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away… He’ll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving down the road with a turn signal on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when a vehicle with metal bumpers passes by. If you’re in the market for a great driving, accident-free vintage SUV please give this bone-stock, one owner Grand Wagoneer your kind attention. Feel free to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the eBay listing. My name is Mark Thompson and I can be reached directly at 206/914-1173. CONDITION: The photos really tell the Jeep’s story. It has spent the past twenty years driving our salt-free western Washington roads. From the pics you’ll see the rig has obviously been cared for over its life and the mileage has been kept to an average of less than 5,500 miles per year by the original owner! We’ve found absolutely NO history of any accidents, body or storm damage, insurance salvage, theft, repossession or ANY other nasty negatives to cause you concern. I take great pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here’s a list of the good and also things possibly needing attention: The four wheel drive system works just as it should. With a flip of a dash switch the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode, so most of the time you’ll be in 2WD and not wearing out the strong Dana front drive parts during highway use. The overall exterior is very decent having had a quality respray of the factory original dark silver metallic paint. It holds a shine well with no breakdown of the clearcoat. When was the last time you saw original Wagoneer vinyl wood trim this nice? Absolutely no fading, peeling or cracking anywhere on either the inserts or the faux wood moldings! All the factory glass is great. The engine compartment is fairly clean and original too. Climb over, under and throughout - I know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Well, this classic SUV hates rust and you’d be hard pressed to find ANY to worry about here! Because we rarely get snow in western Washington State, our winter roads are almost never salted. One turn of the key and the strong 5.9 liter V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal. The oil pressure appears fine. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage. There’s factory air conditioning (needs a recharge), power windows, door locks and steering. I believe every Grand Cherokee came with power front disk brakes in 1989 and these work fine with no pulling or binding, though the front linings were at about 30%. All four factory alloy wheels are wrapped with top line all-terrain radials. It really is a blast to drive anywhere you’d wish to go! Please take another look at the interior shots. The seat upholstery is unfaded and sound on the both the front leather and fabric panels. Same goes for the rear bench seat. There are NO cracks in the dash cover. The optional overhead console, headliner and sun visors are far average, with NO headliner sag. The matching original maroon carpets are in very decent, clean condition though the base of the cargo area could stand replacement. All of the door panels have stood the test of time and are in excellent condition. You’ll be quite impressed with the dash gauges. They're as clear and bright as the day this rig left the dealership 23 years ago! If you’re thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, you really owe it to yourself to drive and look this unique piece over first! About the only other negative I can think to point out is that, though fully functional, the rear window doesn’t want to roll up or down smoothly as it seems to be off the track. Please BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a nice vehicle from a respected Ebay Seller. My main goal is be sure you’re happy with your purchase - and your dealings with me – with the hope that you’ll be back again for another and pass my name & number along to friends as well. Note: WE will NEVER, EVER “shill” or falsely "bump-up" an auction (a violation of eBay rules and also Federal Law). Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, I require new eBay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions to call or email me before placing a bid. If we don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: Please check the photos over closely and call with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! You’re encouraged to inspect the Jeep, so please call to set a meeting time or send your representative early to be sure you don't miss this one. As outlined above my name is Mark and my phone number is 206/914-1173. We reserve the right to cancel your bid if you have ANY negative feedback. DEALERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO BID AS WELL! Additionally I reserve the right to end the auction early if the Grand Wagoneer is no longer for sale because we’ve accepted someone’s offer here locally or otherwise. A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. Because of the high fees charged, we accept PAYPAL for the deposit only. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold, inspect or then come test-drive the vehicle later (You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends). If you do decide to have the Grand Wagoneer transported home, there are numerous vehicle transport companies to choose from. We ship vehicles regularly and I'd suggest that you get a transport bid from www.U-ship.com. Transporters will bid delivery of the vehicle and you'll be able to choose who you want to use. As an alternative, you might also get a quote from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're Ebay's preferred transporter and have a link attached to the Ebay Motors home page that I suggest checking. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 to get an instant on-line quote from either source. The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. The vehicle can be stored free of charge at our location for up to fourteen days after the auction ends assuming full payment has been made. After that, we charge $15 per day storage. The Buyer will be responsible for the licensing requirements in their state of residence. If you live here in Washington State we’ll need to collect the 9.5% sales tax, $50 title preparation, transfer and registration fees (this means if it’s leaving Washington, you won’t be paying any sales tax to us). The State of Washington shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes. Venue shall be exclusively in King County. The final contract signed between both buyer and seller shall be binding. The final signed contract and terms thereof shall govern the sale. All disputes arising out of or relating to this auction, any negotiations, the signed agreement, or to the breach, enforcement or interpretation thereof, shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Washington, in accordance with the terms contained in the final sale agreement and under the laws of the State of Washington. Whew! Don’t you just love legalese?
