1968 Corvette Convertible Project You have found a two family car that has been in the same family since 1970. It is technically a 3 owner car but the 2nd owner passed away in 2004 at which time his wife transferred the car into her name. It retains its original 327 ci / 350 hp engine that was professionally rebuilt 7 years and approximately 500 miles ago and currently runs incredibly well. It is factory optioned with the L79 engine, an M21 4 speed transmission, a 10 bolt positraction rear end, power brakes, power steering, a telescopic steering wheel, bright metal wheel covers and an AM/FM radio. The car was driven on occasion until 2006 when the current owner put it in storage. All of the major components on the car are original except for the carburetor. Within in the last couple of months the car was completely serviced and some repairs were made to the brakes making this car mechanically sound to be driven. Currently the rear lights are inoperable so they will need to be addressed to make the car legal for the road. The only other thing that would need to be done to make her a good driver is to fix the top so that the rear portion latches to the car. We have just completed a comprehensive inspection of the car and have posted the findings for you to closely review. Please look closely at the inspection so you will know exactly what to expect when you get her home.
