Vehicle Detail
I DO NOT HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE OF 6500.00 OR A RESERVE OF 6500.00. Its a used motorcycle, I do have a reserve however it is rather low. I will not tell you the reserve as it is an auction. 1985 Honda Interceptor that runs good but is not used anymore. It sits in my carport and does not get the riding it deserves. I have had the bike about 10 years now and had the engine rebuilt shortly after buying it. New bearings, timing chains, tensioner and guides. New clutch slave cyclinder drive sprocket, driven sprocket and chain, new right front fork assembly, Honda OEM New. A replace Sargent Seat which has better pading in it than the oem. Since then I have replaced the gas tank with a used one, had it sealed first by a tank restoration shop in New York. Left front fork replaced with a used front fork assembly. Newer pads front and rear, newer tires front and rear. Replace a carb with another carb as it was not working well. The bike comes with another gas tank, another set of front forks, wiring harnes, extra seat, extra carberators, I'm sure I'm forgetting something but you get it all with the bike. The bike still gets comments when I do drive it. Recent trip to Orlando Fla and back with no problems from Charlotte NC. The plastic is in good shape, missing the lock for the seat release, you can use your finger to release the seat. The battery starts the bike and I recently recharged it however it is older and should be replaced. The soft sided saddle bags in picture are included in auction. The only problem with the bike is paint, a nice OEM paint job or custom paint would be nice and the valve cover gaskets need to be replaced as they are leaking oil again. I spent over 2500.00 on the overhaul when I bought the bike and that was 10000 miles ago so lots of life left in this machine. It runs out great, I sometimes forget to shift the bike up through all the gears as it loves to run above 4500 rpm's. 10500 rpm's is the redline and it pulls it with no problem. Delivery is available depending on your location. YOU MUST CONTACT ME FIRST ABOUT DELIVERY. NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS OR SHIPPING. Delivery fee will apply in addition to purchase price of bike. BTW, This bike and rider road in the first 9/11 tribute from the Pentagon to New York Ground Zero to help raise money, back in September 2002 just thought you should know.
