1971 Ford F250 Pick-up Truck (pickup). 2 door, white 390 Ford FE engine, mild cam, Edelbrock F427 intake manifold, Carter AFB 4 bbl carburetor, headers, good exhaust system, electric fuel pump. Runs strong, but oil pressure falls at idle when hot. Cooling system has no leaks and holds 180 F constant. Front pulley has slight visible “wobble” (cause unknown). 3 speed manual transmission on column. Full synchro 1st gear – believe this is top-loader style Ford transmission = good unit. Clutch works fine, no driveline or rear end / differential problems. 3 fuel tanks; one behind seat and 2 aux side saddle tanks. I think total fuel capacity is about 100 gallons. Need to replace rubber fuel line to fuel selector valve. Has add-on A/C air conditioner. Mechanical Issues: Rear brakes need self-adjuster hardware on one side, brakes otherwise are fine (but must be serviced prior to driving). One front shock is broken – I’m including new set of 4 Gabriel Hi-jacker shocks. Ignition and electrical system needs clean-up – must remove accessories (alarm, lights, horn, pa, etc.) that drain battery over a week. I have installed a battery selector switch to eliminate the problem. Must ease clutch out in gear when turning off engine – previous owner tied an accessory to the ignition. Windows need cleaning to remove adhesive from tint sheets previously removed. No radio. Body Issues: Look at photos. Hood has serious rust through at front lip. One rear fender has serious rust through along separation line. Some rust through in other areas, I will try to photo document. Cash only sale. Buying strictly as-is, where-is, no regrets.
