For sale: 1982 Toyota 4wd Pickup SR-5 Long Bed (straight axle) with the original 22r motor mated to a 5spd transmission. Original red paint with black and grey interior. Most recent work includes new front and rear brakes and adjusted e-brake pivots, four KYB shocks, four Toyo Open Country tires , new steering dampener, transfer case resealed, pinion shaft seal replaced w/ correct backlash adjustment, new gear oil, carburetor has all new seals, exhaust work, and a new black powder coated rear bumper w/ ball hitch. Also have all the stock emission equipment that came with this federal model . The body has several dings (the two worsts ones are on the front drivers side quarter panel and rear drivers side under taillight). This pickup is original to the West-coast truck and has minimal rust. Some on the side gates, under the bottom left windshield gasket, and near where the two previously mentioned dings. Cab and bed floors bed are completely solid. Windshield has a long crack across the front. The interior is all original including the Toyota tool bag and manuals. Drivers seat is intact but the vinyl and springs are shot. The motor has 209k original miles and burns some oil. A bit on start up and under load in first gear. Running Mobil 1synthetic seems to work best. The transmission has some syncros going out in second. Shifts and holds in every gear including reverse. Four wheel drive works properly as do the manual locking hubs. Everything on this pickup works well and it has been driven daily. Totally reliable and could easily be driven coast to coast via highway or off-road :-p. Clear WA title with no accidents, five previous owners including myself...an easy candidate for an original restoration. Thanks for looking!
