FOR SALE, VERY DESIRABLE COLLECTIBLE 64 ½ (1965) MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE - restoration project car, PARTIALLY DISSASSEMBLED! 289 V8 VIN 5F08F188383 BRIGHT RED EXTERIOR, RED INTERIOR, GREAT CONDITION BLACK RAG TOP, Made in Dearborn, MI I HAVE BEEN THE OWNER SINCE 1987, NEEDS TO BE RESTORED, I did a minor interior restoration when I bought it in the 80’s. Has been repainted somewhere along the way before I bought it. It does have a dent in the drivers front fender side, paint is peeling in many places, rust is present in wheelwells,and floor CLEAR TITLE80,000 miles (rounded off) Has manual steering Floor panels rusted through Carpet has been removed, not usable. ENGINE REMOVED BEFORE STORAGE IN GARAGE. AS I RECALL IT JUST NEEDED LIFTER WORK. This car is ready to have the new floor boards welded in, body panels pretty straight, wheel wells so-so, engine compartment very good, trunk good. Transmission, drive train, radiator, fan, alternator, exhaust, muffler, engine are removed, Makes it a little easier for welding those floor boards underneath. I am not a car expert, just someone who wanted this car a very long time ago. Had every intention to do a complete restoration someday, but unfortunately can no longer do it. Though I have received many calls in the last hour, I can not say if this is a "good" project car for you, I think it is, because as far as I can see everything is here, just have to put it back together and do engine, body and paint work. If you are an experienced car person this probably is not intimidating for you. The car ran and looked great when I bought it, but its been 20 yrs in my ownership, and stored a very long time. All the components were removed at the time it was stored.
