Vehicle Detail

This is my Jeep 1978 CJ-7 with a full fiberglass body and soft-top (I also have a bikini-top and a rear tonneau for it). The Jeep was restored in 1997 when it was converted from an inline 6 cylinder to an AMC 304 V8 (this V8 was an engine option for the CJ series). The engine was rebuilt with a mild Lunati cam, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb., K&N air filter. I have not had any problems with this engine since I purchased the Jeep in 2009 other that the alternator (replaced) and an exhaust leak (fixed). It does not burn oil and never runs hotter than 180 degrees, it runs strong but I have never run it hard. The Engine is backed by a Warner T-18 4speed transmission and I think it has a Dana 20 transfer case. The brakes and tires (33 X 12.5 X 15) are at about 75 to 80% and the exhaust was put on about a year ago. This Jeep is rust free except for some minor surface rust on the shocks (it runs 8 shocks and I hate trying to keep all of them clean) some spots on the rims and a little surface rust on the bumper mounts (cosmetic) but the frame is in great shape, that's one of the reason I bought the Jeep. My last Jeep literally rusted away no matter what I did to stop it (fiberglass body's rock!). The body was purchased new and put on the Jeep during the restore in 97'. It's still in great shape with only minor spider-web gel-coat cracks on the driver side front fender (at the top, about the size of a quarter) and on the hood. The interior is in nice shape and the gauges (oil pressure, temp., volt) are new. They have never even been hooked up (other than the oil pressure, temp.) because I wanted to hook everything up to an auxiliary key-on fuse block. I have everything to do this; I just never got around to it. The only thing I don't like about the Jeep is that the steering has some play in it and the suspension lift-kit makes the Jeep ride on the rough side (I think the biggest reason for this is due to the weight reduction from the fiberglass body). Other than that I love this Jeep. I just need the money. . .
