Asking $27,500.00 US. Current high bid $25,105.05. Purchased in Berlin 1982 from a mechanic who loved the car-always garaged. I bought it as an investment as only @2500 were made making it the rarest of the Sl series. European model with only 44K kilometers or @ 25K miles. Car has been warehoused since 1987, and in my garage for the last five years. New MB canvas top, new wood trim on dash, and removable hard top. Original MB Tex red interior in great condition. A classic car with a classic color scheme, a clean body, replaced exhaust pipes and muffler all welded no clamps, windshield, clutch, Brake hose and some metal lines, silicone brake fluid, MB mag wheels with Michelin XGT wide track tires less than 2000 miles. No AC. Hey, it's a convertible! Recent work 2012: new fuel pump and lines & filters, new battery, new water pump(bearing was dripping), new heater hose, new bypass hose, sound deadening Silver hush mat heat shield installed on floors and transmission tunnel, replaced hundreds of old fastenings with new chrome or stainless steel, new German Square weave carpet set, new fire wall insulation, all new shift linkage bushings, custom shift handle and boot assembly. Just replaced right headlamp-low beam burned out. The car looks renewed now with the interior redone. Very Nice! No smoking ever allowed in car. I have the original Grundig radio cassette, but it is not in the car, we put in a US radio. needs under dash speakers, because the trim shop lost one years ago. 954-782-9996 10AM to 5PM. .
