NO RESERVE AUCTION - SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDEROPENING BID: $911.00Up for your consideration is a gorgeous vintage 1977 Porsche 911S Targa. All matching numbers VIN # 9117210405. This car has been meticulously maintained and well cared for. The car has always been garaged and never driven in the rain. The car only has a little over 107K miles and the engine was rebuilt about 6,000 miles ago. Documentation of thisĀ is included in the sale, as well as many extra parts and service records. Cosmetically the car is in fantastic shape, I would rate it a 9 out of 10. The body is straight and free of any dents or major dings. The paint is all original and still looks great. It does have some small chips that have been touched up for the most part and some other small scratches as well. Nothing too distracting or that you wouldn't expect from a pampered 35 year old car. There is a touched up paint chip about the size of a quarter near the drivers side door and some rough looking touch up paint inside the drivers door jam. There are also a few tiny bubbles under the paint near the driver door as well (very tiny - the size of a tack). These are all documented in the photos. The original Fuchs wheels are present and they do show some patina like finish loss and some scuffs + scrapes. I showed a photo of the worst rim. The targa top was recovered about 4 years ago and the vinyl still looks new. The undercarriage is very clean and the floors are solid. Please see the pics. The interior of the car is also in great shape for its age. The only major flaws are the front seats have some slits mostly on the seams. They are still very comfortable (no dry rot) and probably can be stitched up nicely. The back seats and the carpet are very nice and presentable. Other small interior issues are as follows: The driver side interior door handle is cracked and repaired with rivets (fully functional). The sun visor seams are split and the lever to flip the driver seat back up is missing (fully functional without). All of these are very minor things to repair or replace, I just want to disclose everything I notice. Mechanically the car runs like a top, it is currently state inspected until the end of April next year. The engine runs strong, the gears shift smoothly, and it also steers + stops flawlessly. Everything works as it should. The engine cold starts great, idles fine, and does not blow any funky colored smoke. The tires are like brand new and the clutch has less than 6,000 miles on it. It is a fun car to drive and it literally hums down the road (Please see test drive video below). All of the gauges, lights, horn, radio, windshield wipers, targa top, windows, blinkers, blowers, and CD changer work as they should. The only minor mechanical problems known are; the engine will drip a little oil. After I did some research, it appears to be a common problem with vintage 911's and probably most classic cars in general. Also, the after market A/C unit is not currently working. But with the Targa top off, who needs A/C? All in all, this is a great car that will always turn heads and is a blast to drive. These late 70's 911's are very collectable and it will only appreciate in value as time goes on. SHIPPING: International buyers are welcome. The car will need to be picked up or transported within 15 days after the auction end. NO exceptions. All shipping arrangements will need to be made by the buyer. I will assist the buyer as best as I can. PAYMENT: A $500 non-refundable Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction end. The remaining balance must be paid by bank transfer or cashiers check within 7 days. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. It will be my pleasure to hear from you.
