Vehicle Detail

1967 NISSAN PATROL KL-60 HARDTOP Got your interest I see, it caught my eye when I first saw it too. Not just because its so cool, but because you never see these so complete, they are either 25k restored or just so far gone, there's nothing you can do with them - when you can find them. This is a 4 owner Patrol and I have some of the dated paperwork to show it. This Patrol was sold new here in Phoenix in March of 1967 and has always been here in southern Arizona. These were imported from Japan to the U.S. from 1961 - 1969 to compete with the Toyota Land Cruiser, early Bronco's and the Land Rover market here in the states. You are looking at a rare 1967 Nissan Patrol KL-60 Hardtop that just turned 45 in March. The rims are the Original rims that came with the Patrol in 1967 and the tires have about 15,000 miles left on them. The inline V6 motor and 3 speed manual transmission is the original that came with the Patrol when it was built in Japan in 1967. The motor runs perfect and starts right up with one turn of the key. The transmission shifts smooth and the 4X4 works as it should. Parts for the motor are easily available as these motors are still used in the P-40 forklifts imported here in the USA today from Japan. This Patrol came in the color Light Datsun Blue in 1967 and now sports the exterior color combination of orange copper and black. My information from the previous owner, is that the Patrol was painted twice in its lifetime and was done by the first original owner, first a dark blue, then the orange copper color you see now - which has been on the patrol since 1979. I don't know when the black was put on and the previous owner thinks that it might have been done in the 1990's. The interior is awesome and looks like it did in 1967 when it came off the factory floor. There are no holes in the floor pans and again, it has no rust anywhere on the chassis, exterior or the interior. Since I've owned it, I have put a new OEM original fuel pump on it. Also, when I got it, it had the original black vinyl seats in it from 1967. The vinyl was hard and was just no longer functional. So, I had them redone and matched to the exact pattern, vinyl and stitch that originally came with the Patrol. The closest vinyl that matched up to the original was a high end vinyl called Lexus Black. Also, you will notice that there is a different color fabric on the back of the front seats. That's because each Patrol came with a color theme for that specific year and the 1967 had the green/blue vinyl backing along with the speedometer cover and glove box in the same green/blue metallic flake paint (which have been painted black and are no longer this color). The vinyl backing that is on it is the original vinyl backing that came on it in 1967 and is 45 years old - it is still in perfect condition. As I stated, I had them reupholstered too match exactly as they were in 1967. Now, onto the 2 upper rear barn doors, side panels and the roof not pictured. These were black and I had them stripped down to the bare metal by walnut shell blasting sometime ago here in Tucson, I had this done because I was going to have the Patrol painted back to it’s original color of Datsun blue. I changed my mind shortly after and I put them at my in-laws garage here in Tucson, where they sit today. I have all the mounting hardware, rear upper barn doors with good glass, side panels with the original sliding glass and the roof. On the side panels you will have to get new rubber when you have the glass remounted - that rubber is standard double window sliding molding available at any glass company. These items are complete and are the original that came with the patrol in 1967. There is no rust on these items and are ready to be primed and painted any color you desire. I will try to take some pictures of them and add them later in the week. Also, I will gladly put it all together for the buyer before they pick up the Patrol or have the Patrol shipped. It only takes about 20 - 25 minutes to put the items on. All the glass is complete, original and in good condition. As you can see from the pictures all the door handles and cranks are there and work. The doors are a bit sticky to open and close, but work and lock as they should. The turn signals are not working and the 2 front parking lights are not working as well - one of the front parking light lenses has cracks on it. All the other lights and the brakes work as they should. The front and rear bumpers are original to the Patrol and the front push bar and fog lights were added in 1982. The driver seat adjuster moves forward and back, but is not working properly. The body on the car is way above average, sure the paint is old and checked but that just makes it that much more cooler. The good thing is the body is solid as a rock as is the chassis underneath. There is no rust anywhere on this patrol and it is 100 percent complete and original. The Patrol has 77,448 on it and I think it is original to the Patrol. But, the second owners son who sold it in 1995 (after his dad passed away) marked it as exceeds odometer limits. So I will have to mark it the same way on the title. I searched for a long time for one of these trucks and now I'm ready to move on to something else. Here’s a great opportunity to own an EXTREMELY RARE NISSAN PATROL in AMAZING CONDITION! I have it priced for a quick sale, there is no reserve. So this will sell to the highest bidder. I would most certainly entertain offers to end the listing early with a buy it now. Also, International sales are ok with me. Any question’s just email me. This is a no reserve auction and the highest bidder will win this Patrol. I'm starting the auction at $6500.00 - This Patrol is valued between $15,000.00 and $18,000.00 as it sits. I added a picture of what it would of looked like in the original Datsun Blue. Also, this is what it looks like with the hardtop installed.
