This is a 1947 First Series 1/2 ton GMC Truck. The engine runs, but smokes. It has a crack in the block , but doesn't leak. The rest of the drive train is good. The exhaust system was replaced 5 years ago at the local muffler shop. He just fired the truck up and droeve it around today and I sam no leakage from the engine. It has no miles on it. The winshield glass was replaced along with gasket a few years ago and cranks out.The hubcaps are still on it.As you will see in the pics the cab is in good shape and the front end is great shape the box needs help depending on what you want to do with it. MAR K sells brand new made in USA sides. these trucks. The bed floor is solid except for a little spot at the left front of the bed. The grille is painted, not sure if i was chrome when new. I think the pictures will help describe the truck better than I can.This is my cousins truck.He has 5 more of these era trucks and is looking for more room to work on them. I will email him with any questions you have. A plate underhood says EC102 1143. I'm not sure what that means. It still has the "GENERAL MOTORS TRUCK" emblems on the hood.
