Vehicle Detail

After years of searching for just the right 1962 International Harvester crewcab 4x4 truck, I finally stumbled across this one in the West. A two owner vehicle, "Beuford" was owned by an 80 year old gentleman for the past 30+ years, and always garaged. I have owned close to 20 IH trucks (including Travelettes), but the 1962, with the double front headlights, was always my favorite. First of the crewcabs. This pickup, a C120 4x4 crewcab, has a BG241 six cylinder engine with a Hurst 4spd transmission newly rebuilt. The transmission shifts effortlessly and the engine , with no fluid leaks, blows no black, blue, or white smoke at startup - or any other time. Factory PTO winch. Mileage shows to be around 63,000, but not sure whether it has turned over or not. Engine is very strong , but brake pedal and accelerator show some wear. Dash is extremely nice. Two of the flat glass windows are cracked. I have replacement glass for one. Very cheap fix. Head liner needs a little attention. Floor pans have been replaced, and are solid but homemade. Older repaint looks good, but not w/o a few flaws. Having looked forever to find this truck, I now reluctantly must part with it. The water well on my ranch went bad, and the fix is going to be very expensive. When it comes to water or a truck, water wins. Comes with many extra parts, including a spare rare transmission and tow bar. All new brake components, including master cylinder. Rust is very, very minimal. All doors align. This is one of the rarer IH trucks available, particularly w/ both four doors ,PTO winch, and four wheel drive. Item for listed for sale locally. Auction could end early. If you have always dreamed of one if these, don't wait to bid. It will be awhile before you see another, much less in this condition. Pictures will tell the story. Happy to answer questions.
