Although this is an early SL, the engine runs really strong and it is very fast with remarkable take off. Brakes work fine even though the brake light comes on and off. This is a recurring problem on early 107s since I have hed the same issue on several of them. The steering wheel as plenty of play when turning a sign that the steering coupler is at its last days. Transmission works fine when driving although on a cold engine it engages pretty strong. Running and driving early 450SL that needs the adequate attention in order to be completely road worthy. I took a small video clip on the car in running mode. that can be seen below this description. The car shows very minimum rust. These Mercedes usually rust in the trunk area which there is some rust starting there. Although not rusted thru now it could get to that point. The interior is in pretty good condition for the age. This is the fist time I see a combination of blue satin and vinyl together and it does look factory. There are no rips on the seats and the color comes alive especially in pictures. I was told that this car belonged to Rita Hayworth (Gilda) Although I tried to get info from DMV I wasn't able to discover anything, so whether Gilda was the owner or not this car is for sale. I will take pictures of the car without the hardtop. apparently the soft top is in good condition though I will be able to confirm that soon. Title is clear and in hand. This is primarily to encourage the buyer to have the car picked up as soon as possible or I would end up with my entire lot packed with vehicles. It is dirty and the plastic windows are dark stained but the canvas is intact. I looked everywhere and did not see any rips. Also the canvas does not seem to be dry. I took several more pictures with the hardtop off the car.
