Vehicle Detail
Fresh off the farm! This car not only is a real 49000 mile original car, it was only titled one time, new in 1967. It isn't perfect but if GM didn't do it, mother nature did. In other words, no one else cut changed or messed this car up. The outer body is surface rusted, with only minor perforations in the window channels, glass removed and in excellent shape. The perforations in the window channels let in the water that soaked the floor mat and rusted the floor, but only the floor. the rust is in the lowest spots in each panel and the supports are all in excellent shape. If it were my project I'd order complete floor in panels and select cut patches from the new floors rather than do a complete, but that can be your call. Frame is excellent, tapped the whole frame with a ball peen and it is solid, no soft spots or dead sounding spots at all. Where there was undercoat and I peeled it back, shiny steel. 3 speed works very well, shifter tight, clutch feels OK, maybe a mouse in the bell housing. Engine runs very well, starts easy, idles well, no apparent leaks or problems. Rolls down the road well, rear brakes are weak, park brake even works. Steering is tight, manual, so it isn't quick, but this car could be a quick rat/driver. 4 wheel drums of course. no power. Needs tires desperately, but they are probably 30-35 years old. Fuel tank doesn't appear rusty, chrome is all really good, rear bumper has 2 small dings, but no rust. Trim below trunk is bent in a couple of spots, all window trim is in the trunk. Interior, trashed. Door panels are probably OK, needs dash pad, headliner seats and a mat or carpet. But since it is a 300, shouldn't cost much. Any questions, call Dave, 608-963-0308 I don't check emails often since I'll be at a show/swap meet all weekend. Paypal or pre-arranged cash payment. Sold as is where is, guaranteed not misrepresented, this car delivers unmolested platform for a graet restoration or a real easy patina sleeper. On Sep-30-12 at 19:27:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Added photos by request showing details of quarter panel lowers and rear wheel openings as well as trunk floor. Trunk photo shows only perforation that exists. Hole in left rear quarter lower is only visible from under the car, size approx. 1.5" x 3-4"
