It was originally a government owned municipal vehicle that I purchased at a police auction, and have a picture of title to prove that. For a government vehicle, to get something this nice and expensive, they must have been a high ranking official like chief of police or even mayor. It was titled to Village of Oak Lawn, IL. And with a gov owned vehicle, you know it had a good maintenance schedule because they were not paying for it right, the tax payers were paying for it. I mean they even had remote start installed on it (remember we will be seeing snow fall in about 3 months) They replaced the battery for me just before I bought it in Sept 2011 with the most expensive, top of the, line 85 month Interstate battery which is $153.53, so the battery is just 1 year old, with 6 more years of warranty. They also replaced the upper and lower ball joints before I bought it, again with most expensive, top of the line moog brand ball joints they could get, and that job was $725. They also replaced the radiator one time. I have also done a lot of work to it also, listed below. This Denali is ready to go, no problems with it. Nice rich interior, and a beautifully clean exterior as well. Loaded with tons of options, I mean this was the most expensive luxury suv that gmc made at the time. I don't think there was any options on an Escalade that you couldn't get on a Denali !! This thing rides great, does not smoke or leak oil, transmission and all 4x4 works great, all options work great. This had an original sticker price back in 1999 of $43,665. I also have all the original owners manuals and books that came with it as well. OPTIONS: Front driver and passenger power seats, 2 tone leather, 2 stage heated, with power lumbar support Rear seats folding, 2 tone leather, and also 2 stage heated. adjustable height seat belts factory alarm anti-theft system with shock sensor and flashing warning led when armed power locks keyless entry remote start!!! H.I.D. high intensity discharge headlights for high and low beams, these are those super bright headlights you see on new BMW and Mercedes cars, I installed the aftermarket kit myself, cost around $400 for the kits Auto-trac automatic 4x4 you can also simply select 2 wheel drive and 4x4 or automatic by buttons on dash automatic locking rear differential (offers extra traction during slippery conditions) power windows electric tailgate glass release. This Denali has the solid top glass and fold down tailgate which allow for a rear window wiper and washer as well as more visibility. Many of these had 2 swinging (dutch doors) on the rear, which swing out like a regular door, but this eliminates the rear wiper and decreases rear visibility because the rear doors close in the middle and create a 10 inch wide channel right in the middle of the rear window. I think the 2 swinging doors was a real stupid idea. Plus the gate is better for tailgating because you can flip down the gate and have a seat. tilt steering wheel cruise control delay wipers front and rear fog lamps headlamp delay feature, keeps headlamps on for adjustable period of time after ignition is turned off to keep area illuminated battery rundown protection, shuts off misc items if left on for more than 20 minutes after ignition is turned off electrochromatic (automatic dimming) inside rear view mirror with compass and temperature display electrochromatic (automatic dimming) and heated with automatic defrost exterior rear view mirrors with automatic overhead center console with lots or storage, overhead map lights, built in homelink (universal garage door or gate opener), and controls for rear air conditioning rear air conditioning with front and rear passenger controls center floor console with tons of storage, cup holders, also hold 6 disc cd changer and factory amplified stereo sub-woofer roll up adjustable cargo shade and rear cargo tie downs roof mounted factory luggage carrier many power accessory power outlets front and rear anti-lock power brakes Zebrano wood trim (same as used in Mercedes Benz) speed sensitive variable assist power steering rear window defogger Premiums BOSE stereo system, 7 speaker sound with factory amplified sub woofer for LOTS of bass, has speed-compensated volume, am/fm/cass single in dash cd with 6 disc cd changer mounted in center console, also has rear seat audio system towing package with 6500lbs towing capacity, although it has never towed anything. It comes with the wiring to the back of vehicle and you put on the end you use for particular trailer application, this has never had any end installed on the wiring. Its very simple to install. factory chromed aluminum wheels 30 gallon fuel tank for extended range traveling tinted windows full size spare tire running boards There is probably more but I will stop there. As you can see when I say fully loaded, I meant it. Below is a list of work I did to the vehicle. And as you can tell, I planned on keeping it for a long time, October 14, 2011 at 144949 miles it had the following work: $1581.56 Replace Idler arm Replace Idler arm bracket pivot assy. Replace Pitman arm Replace 2 inner tire rod ends Replace 2 outer tie rod ends Replace 2 tie rod end adjusting sleeves Replace 2 sway bar end links Replace 2 sway bar frame bracket bushings Replace 2 front monroe sensa-trac shocks, smoothest riding shocks on the market, previous municipality had super heavy duty shocks installed front and rear which made it ride much more firm which I didn't like Replace 2 rear monroe sensa-trac shocks wheel alignment total and with the previously installed new ball joints, basically the entire suspension has been recently replaced October 31, 2011 145,010 miles it had the following work: $641.63 Replace Brake master cylinder Drain, flush, refill and bleed entire brake system Drain and re-fill front differential synthetic gear lube Drain and re-fill rear differential synthetic gear lube Drain, flush and refill power steering system Drain and refill transfercase with updated GM transfercase fluid that was a flush and re-fill on all fluids except transmission because that fluid looked super clean in it already, probably recently replaced by municipality. June 12, 2012 146,675 miles it had the following work: $502.23 was a tune up Replaced spark plugs with factory ac delco iridium, spark plug wires with factory Delfi brand, distributor cap and distributor rotor again with all original equipment Delfi brand, not cheap, but the best September 7, 2012 had the following: $200.10 New muffler installed Like I said, it is in great shape, everything works just like it should. No problems. Put in over $2900 worth of recent work within the last year, made sure every little thing was fixed. Come take it for a drive, and I encourage you to bring a mechanic to inspect it also so you will know just how good this suv really is. Cosmetically it is a very sharp vehicle as well. Then interior is in above average shape. The steering wheel has some wear on it as well as the bottom of driver seat. The driver seat is severely worn in most of these, make sure they show you a full seat picture if you are looking at one of these. I included a full clear seat picture, and as I said, show minor wear on the bottom edge. The door panels and such are all in nice shape, the door window switches are in great shape unlike most of the other ones I see. Carpet and seat are clean, and the headliner in also in great shape. As for the exterior, the paint is in great shape, very good shine, all the windows are good with no cracks, lights and lenses are clear, not foggy like many of them, chrome rims have a nice shine as well and the tire have good tread on them. It does have a minor scuff on the rear pass side bumper, and a small cracked piece of molding around the right rear tire. Running boards are all in great shape, not bent up from running over stuff like a few I have seen. Also, all the black inserts pads are on all the running boards and on the rear bumper like they should be. And as you can see, there is no rust on this one either.
