Vehicle Detail

These road warriors were made to win on the street and track. Blindingly fast, this W-30 has only 19,900 original miles. It still even has its original convertible top, along apparently with mostly factory paint, and factory seats. This car is so much fun to drive. Its 455 big block moves this car along at racing speeds. Front disc brakes handle the braking duties. This cars has its heat faded red light weight front inner fender wells. Manual steering provides great road feel not available on most classics. A street legal racing car with a power convertible top. I tracked down the son of the original owner of this car. He told me his father drove it on the street and track, and as a teen the son acted as the pit crew. He introduced me to his father. This car took over 30 racing trophies in upstate New York and the surrounding area. His wife beat racing legend Shirley Muldowneys Vette in this car. W-30's were simply one of the handful of fastest cars made in the 70's. Oldsmobile took notice of this cars victories and spoke of providing sponsorship money. I have put about 1,ooo street miles on this car over the past few years. The frame and factory floors and trunk pan are rock solid. The engine and "OW" tranny are replacements. The heads on the car are excellent, it comes with a set of F heads which are off the car, one of which is damaged. The only body filler I found was in one of the doors from what seems to be a light dent. I did not find any filler in the rear quarters. I have included pictures of the rear wheel wells. A 1970 convertible with very minor rust and no apparent rust repairs. The inner rear wheel wells are uncut. The rear bumper chrome is in poor shape in some areas and there is some light surface rust over the chrome piece on the bumper lip which does not show in the pictures and which can be seen if you are standing close to the car. This car has never been restored. It is a beautiful survivor which you can enjoy with family and friends as I have. I am moving to a house where I will not have a garage for this car so it has to be sold. The color is both beautiful and unusual. It is best described as white with a blue tinge and laser blue stripes. There are a couple of places where the paint was peeled off as someone put some stickers on the car. Beautiful beast. After a long day this may be mans best friend. A great way to forget the less important things in life. As I must sell the car the reserve is an exceptionaly low $30,000. Good luck bidding.
