No Reserve / Bid to Buy Call 901-409-1135 1969 912 5 speed restoration project with much of the hard work completed. Following description is based on what I was told when I purchased 3 years ago and my own inspection. Car was removed from long term storage, completly disassembled, all rust was professionally repaired, including complete new passenger area floor pans, and a "driver quality" glass out repaint was done in the original tangerine color(base coat/clear coat). There is NO RUST on this car. The suspension and bottom of the car have been detailed and painted. I have included pictures of some of the paint chips that will need to be touched-up. Pedal cluster and engine sheet metal have been media blasted and powder coated. Pedal cluster and brakes have been rebuilt. All body parts and glass are included except the front bumper. Some exterior trim parts and fasteners are missing, including, but not limited to: passenger door handle, wiper arms, bumper trim, horn grills, rubber seals and gaskets. All four directional signal lenses are damaged. When I purchased, 3 years ago, I was told that the engine was original to the car, had been rebuilt prior to long term storage and the mileage was correct at 94,444 total miles. I received and have NO documentation or proof for this. The actual mileage is unknown. The engine (#4093394) turns over freely and neither the transmission or engine have leaked in 3 years of heated storage. The engine was recently started and run for a short time and did not smoke. Solex carbs. The transmission shifts freely in place but the linkage and shift lever have not been connected to the transmission. The fuel tank will need to be cleaned and refurbished or replaced. 5 14"X5.5" factory Fuchs wheels. Tires are dry rotted, but will hold air for transport. Interior is mostly complete and in fair condition. Door pockets and driver side floor carpet is missing. Driver seat bottom has two seam splits. Dash top is cracked. Dash front is in good unmolested condition including the original Blaupunkt Frankfurt am/fm/sw radio. White headliner has been painted black and is in poor condition. Car was shipped to me in its present partially assembled condition. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. I have a 6 volume set of factory service and assembly manuals plus a rare 912 volume and a 912 factory engine manual that I will sell with the car for an ADDITIONAL $400.00, if requested.
