Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1973 MGB Convertible Project Car 1.8L 4cyl Manual 44,724 miles Clear Title, Has not been started in 18 years. On October 27, 1993 my husband purchased a 1973 MGB and a 1968 MGB GT. His plan was to restore them for our son and him to drive. Although he had the 1973 running and had begun to restore it, first rebuilding the rear end, no more work was ever done and they have since been stored for the last 18 years. He purchased other classic cars with the intention of restoring them in his retirement, but passed away and was unable to accomplish it. As I have no knowledge of how or what should be done, instead I hope someone will choose to do what he started to do and get one or both of them running and enjoy them. He always wanted to run the MG in the Black Hills or in the mountains of Colorado. The Green 1973 MGB has a hard top, 2 convertible tops, tonneau cover, and convertible top covers. The drivers side rear tire does not hold air for long but can be switched out with one of the other rims if wished before transport. This car is not perfect and needs restoration. Drivers side rear pan needs replaced, passenger side is in good shape (see pictures). All parts in pictures come with car they are listed with. Parts Picture #10 (general list of what is in photos) 1. Rear bumper 2. Tail lights 3. 2nd convertible top and cover 4. Drivers side vent window 5. Trunk seals and luggage rack hardware Parts Picture #11 1. wider convertible top and cover 2. 3 extra rims w/tires 3. Tonneau cover There is no reserve. We have two separate listings. The 1968 MGB GT is not in good as shape but both of them have loads of extra used parts listed in that auction. Both cars and parts are sold as is. Please look at all pictures carefully and ask all questions before purchasing. The 1968 MBG GT comes with a lot of parts that where purchased with the car so we are listing them with the car they came with. No swapping or trading between the car listings. The best option for an ambitious/industrious person is to purchase them both and fix them both up. A person could sell one for profit or use the parts needed and sell the remaining parts to other MG enthusiasts. Any way you decide these lots have a lot of potential that I just don’t have time or knowledge to pursue.1968 MGB GT Listing number = 261101726304 There is NO RESERVE. Cash only. Ten days to pick up or negotiable. Paypal Deposit of $150 non refundable within 48 hours.
