Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1970 - 428 SCJ 4:30 Traction Lok Drag Pak, 4 speed Mach 1 – Grabber Blue This is a great restoration project with the majority of the tough major unique pieces there. The king of the hill, 4 spd, 428 Super Cobra Jet (1 of only 857, and even fewer were the more desirable 4 spd variant as this car was) See Marti Report Built December 11, 1969 Block dated 9 K7 = October 7, 1969 Currently Standard Bore with TRW pistons and the cylinders look real good! How rare is that? Has the correct Lemans rods, SCJ crank with the hatchet counterweight. Real deal SCJ motor. No numbers stamped in it. Heads Dated 8 L2 = November 2, 1968 Only the motor pieces photo’d are available and included – the big ticket tough items are there – block with correct internals, heads, and intake manifold. Accessories, valve covers, brackets, exhaust manifolds etc will have to be sourced elsewhere – they are readily available and even repopped - but we do not have them. Original 4:30 Locker 9” rear is there and in place. Just removed tag (included) today to clean and photo. Correct Rug AZ 4 speed top loader (completely rebuilt) with correct bellhousing and bottom cover plate. Shaker is all there – scoop & gasket, mid-plate with flapper, correct air cleaner lid, correct base, and snorkel. Heat shield is there (will need a little bit of welding). No S-tube available. Oil Cooler, lines, and block adaptor all included. Cooler will need cleaned up, lines are there and will be great to use for the unique shields, but the actual lines have cuts and will need some new tubing bent. Original buck-tag in place. Correct gauge cluster and Mach 1 dash clock included. Mach 1 Rocker trim is there – will need the bright work replaced and the Mach 1 letters on the trim replaced (they are available re-pop). Hood is nearly perfect with a bit of what appears to be “shelf wear” Appears to be NOS or nearly NOS. The shaker trim ring is not there. Additional items that come to mind that are not there – rear seat back, driver side headlight bucket, sport slats, rear deck spoiler, pedal assembly. Obviously not a 100% complete car, but the majority of the tough pieces included. Please review the photos carefully - all that is available is included, we have no other pieces for this car. Metal work I can tell you it needs – Needs driver floor repair section welded in. Needs a lower fender on the driver’s side (or a replacement fender). Needs a minor patch in the passenger side lower torque box (not a complete box – just a small patch). Rest of the metal really up to the restorer’s taste (has had lower rear quarters sectioned in for example – you may choose to re-do and butt-weld rather than lap weld as was done). Look at the pics – this car is very, very solid. Not a rot-box at all, the major structure of this car is rock solid, doors open and close square even when car is jacked up. Very easy resto project, very few left this solid to start with. This is a mega $ car when restored and the trick unique parts are there. Bid to win. $500.00 Deposit required within 24 hours. Full payment within 3 days of close of auction. Transportation the responsibility of the buyer. May be able to be arranged for $1.50/loaded mile.
