Vehicle Detail

1995 Ford F150 XLT, 4x4, SWB, 5.0L V8, automatic w/ overdrive, PW, PDL, Tilt, Cruise, Fact tach and gauges, Cold A/C, Fact AM/FM Cassette, 82K original miles. Originally a West Coast truck, no rust issues. Locking hubs, nearly new Yokahama tires (31x10.50x15) all around. Truck is in original condition with no modifacations other than the lockout front hubs, chrome nerf bars and saddle bag tool box. It has a plastic bed liner that looks like a factory installed one in the bed and back side of the tailgate. All lights, turn signals, windows, locks, wipers, etc. work as they should. Have all original owner's manuals, warranty card, etc. as well. Mechanically the truck is sound and solid. It runs and drives good, shifts good, 4x4 works and dash light indicator comes on when engaged. Cruise works, engine doesn't smoke, no check engine lights, etc are on. Other than a VERY small amount of oil (presumably from the rear main seal), it doesn't leak fluids. The oil is a couple of small drops about the size of a nickel if the truck sits for weeks at a time, which it normally does. The a/c blows cold and the steering, etc is good. Doesn't pull to one side or the other and feels like its still pretty tight. The exhaust system looks original and its still in good shape. Cosmetically the truck is pretty clean. It does have some small paint chips and scratches that I have tried to show. I think there are about 2-3 very small dings and one of them is on the rear aluminum panel, but not real noticable unless you catch it just right in the sun. The interior is very clean, but there are some small spots on the seats, looks like they could be cigarette burns, but there isn't any black discoloration around them. The truck does not smell like its been smoked in all of its life. I'm sure it probably could have been at some time, as I'm not the original owner so I can't say that it hasn't. There is a small trace of sunburn along the plastic trim piece along the top part of the driver's side door panel and a little bit on the passenger side of the top of the dash. Other than that, it looks pretty good overall. I just preplaced the headliner with factory material since the original one was falling down. Sun visors are in good shape. The paint is very nice for original paint. It looks like it has had some driver's side exposure to the sun as the rubber body side molding trim looks a little sun burned as does the rear 4x4 factory sticker. The weather stripping is all still good, but the outer lower door seals that face the outside of the door windows are a little dry. The tailgate isn't all beat up and bent. I don't think its been used as a work truck and brick hauler by any means. All of the rubber stoppers and tailgate cables are intact and in good shape. Under the hood is all original too, looks to be mostly original. It does look like a radiator hose must have blown sometime in its life and it left some traces of some rust colored coolant on the passenger side of the engine bay. All of the factory stickers, bolts, etc are all there and unmolested. Just trying to be completely honest and list everything that can be seen by looking at in person, or in pictures as well. In all, its a nice straight and clean F150 4x4 thats still in pretty darn good shape. Most of these have been hammered on pretty good and long since destroyed by tons of hard use over the years. I would keep it, but I just bought a '96 F150 2wd w/ a 351 and I don't need both of them. I would say that the truck is a good solid 7.5 to 8 out of 10 - 10 being a mint example of a '95. The items I listed keep it from rating higher...in my opinion. Some folks might think its higher, some might even think lower, but I think thats a very fair and realistic assessment. Feel free to call me anytime with any questions. (602)-315-6796. Thanks for your interest.
