Vehicle Detail
Sweet 1951 Hardtop, been in storage since 1965??? Early 60's style mild custom. New rebuilt 57 235 .060 with new cam, lifters, pistons, rings, etc All new brake lines & repair kits. New fuel tank & sending unit. Rebuilt original powerglide. All lights work, missing one horn. Needs carpet & interior detail. Exhaust is in need of new muffler & tail pipe. Tires are 40 year old bias ply tires. They need replaced for safety reasons but I have driven them on the road for test driving . Body has one repaint, original bumper jack, spare tire. Minimal rust, body is solid, it needs some minor inner rocker/ & brace tip repair, mainly passenger side. No major rust/rot issues. Doors shut perfect. On Sep-13-12 at 08:20:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Feel free to stop by & have a look if you are close enough to do so. The radio, spotlight & clock are not working, I have not looked to see what the problem may be. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. Also, I may take a PARTIAL trade on a 55-59 Chevy/GMC truck project. If after you have read the ad & reviewed the pictures & need more info, please call 573-228-4500 for more details. Thanks for considering this one of a kind classic. On Sep-14-12 at 11:39:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Rust issues are minimum but it is not rustfree. The dogleg area shoes paint bubbles, but no rust through, The bottom of the spare tire well is rusted. The passenger side inner rocker & brace ends have rust, one end will need attention/replaced. The hole in picture is the driverside trunk drop area, along with the splash guard protecting the gas filler. All the floors seem really solid, the frame is nice & straight. it appears to be an original panel car. The bottom of the doors are very nice, only needing new weatherstripping. Roof area & around the moldings is not bubbled from setting out side. The car was kept in dry storage since 1965. On Sep-16-12 at 18:24:16 PDT, seller added the following information: The car runs fine, has less than 25 miles on rebuilt motor/trans. Also, if you have less than 5 feedback score, please contact me before bidding, or your bids will be canceled, sorry for the inconvenience.
