This car is a beauty! It still has the original paint job & alligator top from 1968, both of which are in great condition because the car has been kept out of the sun its entire life! The dash is also all original & completely undamaged (no cracks!). As proven by the original warranty plate on the door as well as the original owner's manual, this T-bird was born & raised in California and has never left the West Coast! The original owner was a woman who kept it in her garage at home and only drove it to & from work where it was also kept in a garage (she worked at a hospital). The second owner was a T-bird enthusiast who bought the car from her just a few years ago. The car was in excellent working condition when he bought it, but he put some nice finishing touches on it, such as: new tires, new rims, & new carpets. All records have been kept for all work that has been done to the car, which is proof that the odometer hasn't rolled over more than once and that we are in fact the third owners of the car. My wife & I bought the car in 2009, and it has been a great car for us. We just don't give it the proper attention that it deserves, so it does need some minor work. The car still looks great, but there are small maintenance & cosmetic issues that are simply due to our lack of regular attention. We have always kept the T-bird covered and still drive it occasionally just to keep it running smoothly. As mentioned above, we have kept all records on all of the work that has been done to the car. We even still have the original hubcaps (not installed, replaced with new rims), original floor mats (not installed, replaced with new carpet), & the original owner's manual & owner's card. The T-bird will also come with a custom fit car cover complete with wire & padlock (we might even throw in the bungee cord that we use to tie up the cover when it's rolled up!). This car was fully loaded when it was purchased. A/C (needs work) power windows (need work) alligator-style landau top (GREAT condition) Kenwood CD player (obviously added by the previous owner, works great) 3 storage consoles (one in center & two in dash) full size spare tire in the trunk (covered, as seen in pics) jack & lug wrench in trunk (covered) The car needs about $1,000 put into it in parts & labor in order to fix the minor issues that it does have. Of course, if you can do any of the work yourself, the cost would be much less. Once it is brought back to proper health, it will once again be an excellent car. There is also a small (1-inch diameter) spider crack in the center of the windshield (as can be seen in the front pic, if you can zoom in). This happened to the previous owner as the result of a small rock hitting the windshield, but it hasn't grown at all over the last few years.
