---- RE-LISTING DUE TO NON PAYING EBAYER---- Thank you for checking my ad. Well, the story is the usual we all hear. We buy things with a hope of finishing the restoration and we find more issues along the way. My dream didnt last too long and it isn't due to lack of cash, but rather an upset girlfriend. The truck VIN # shows that this was built @ Ford plant in Lorain OH and has spent it's whole life here. the Story is that this truck was owned by the owner of a Ford dealer on the EAST Side of Cleveland up to 2003 when it changed hands. it does look like an older paint job/restoration. it has 85500 original miles. Let's start with the not so good: - brakes are NEW but need adjustment - drum brakes all around. it is puling to the left when cold, when brakes warm up it's fine. - frame has some surface rust and the undercarriage black paint/coverage is flaking. this is indeed something from the past and you can either clean it up and repaint? or leave as is. - heater doesnt work. may need a little work. - windshield has a little crack - cabin floor, behind the seat was fixed on this old restoration with some metal pieces riveted there. it is ok, but again this is a driver, not a show car. ---------------- More detailed description: The paint from 10ft looks like a 9. it presents itself very very well. though you can see that this isn't a show paint, it is not overly bright and shiny. it is a blue, going more for a flat blue type than a bright blue. as you get closer then i would give a 7. you can find some little imperfections, HOWEVER there is NO RUST, NO BUBBLING, NOTHING..... paint and planels are very solid. the bumpers were recently taken out and powder coated in flat white - in perfect conditions The engine and the engine compartment could well be cleaned and if your wish is to paint and get that immaculate, this isn't missing impossible The interior presents itself very very well with new door panels, re-upholstered seat, all gauges work. Wood bed is in very good condition, could well be refinished to bring that bright look back. The engine runs strong, very strong. You can easily drive this home anywhere you live. It does not overheat, it doesn't leak. (previous owner told me thathe would see a drip once in a blue moon - possibly due to old deposits and dirty engine, but I haven't seen one yet). Just yesterday, 9/1 I had the truck out, drove for about 65 miles, cruising at speeds of 60-75mph without any issue.... running very strong. Transmission shifts smoothly (manual 3 speed on column) ------------- Now the cherry on top: - ROUGHLY USD5000 WAS INVESTED ON THE TRUCK OVER THE LAST 18 MONTHS. I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR APROXIMATELY USD3000 IN PARTS ONLY!!! - 5 BRAND new tires all around. 200 MILES ON THEM. - BRAND NEW SUSPENSION, LEAF SPRINGS, BUSHINGS AND SHOCKS ALL AROUND. I MEAN, BRAND NEW. - BRAND NEW BATTERY - THE V8 ENGINE RUNS VERY STRONG - 3 SPEED TRANSMISSION ON THE COLUMN SHIFTS NO PROBLEM - CLUTCH IS WORKING FINE AND NO ISSUES. This is a GREAT DRIVER and such a head turner. everywhere you go people drool over it. everyone just ask questions and love the look of the truck I am confident this is a very good buy to anyone looking for such a truck. Looking online it is hard to find a truck as solid as this one for cheap. NADA BOOK Value shows it at USD13000 for "Average" and USD27000 for "Great Condition" . My reserve is WAY BELOW the Average value on NADA. My Loss here is your gain.... Unfortunately I will be parting ways with it, but I'd rather keep the soon to be wife happy.
