This is a 1977 VW Westfalia Camper Van with a pop-up top.This van is very solid. there is surface rust and the battery tray was rotted due to acid corrosion and rotted around side marker where the tray met the body. I have replaced the battery tray with a new one but I did not have it welded in. there is NO rot under the van . No rot on the floors or door jams. The wheel wells are solid and also the rockers. There is a little rot on the front doors. The slider is solid and works fine.heater boxes are very good and the engine has been rebuilt last winter. the engine has a polished crank ,new cylinders ,pistons and rings. the heads were reworked. the exhaust is aftermarket an in great shape.This is a Fuel Injected 2.0 engine.4 speed Manual Transmission.New ClutchTires are not the recommended tire by vw but are very good tires and seem to handle great. This van runs great and handles great also. Very smooth.All breaks work fine ,yes even the parking brake.One of the side mirrors is cracked and the windshield has 2 dingsThe front emblem was stolen and I have an original replacement but don't dare to snap it onto clips in fear of denting the front of the van..The canvas has some small tears where the top locks down.Now for the INTERIOR which is Very Nice for original. Untouched Interior, nice white headliner and sun visors Original Green plaid cloth. NO RIPS. the bed cushion has been sun bleached on an edge.2 of the cabinet doors need the lock buttons.the trim around the cabinets have shrunk a bit but are all there . The carpet is original and is in good condition.The padding inside the rear of the drivers seat has seemed to have disappeared and I use a nice seat pad for that problem which I will include in the sale.The dashboard is not cracked and is in great condition. The ignition is in need of replacement with one I will provide with 2 keys and a screwdriver which I have been using as a key . No key for the doors which are unlocked.The gas gauge is not working and I am working on that problem .The gas pedal hinge spring is clicking and sticking. could use a new one or rebuild that on. I was just pulling up on the pedal with my foot when it stuck.. The matting at the front of the front floor needs to be re-glued.the curtains may need some tending as some stitching has come undone.No Rodent Damage Ever. On Sep-06-12 at 19:14:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I have added more pictures and found an awning in the bag with poles and stakes. as seen in picture. I also found a hammock that goes over the front seats. I also found a front window curtain with a broken snap. also is a screen to go over the back door.which has one bad snap.the rear curtain tieback strap is broke. There is a small table that attaches to the dashboard a good spare tire and a Jack. All of these thing are in pretty nice condition other than what I stated.check out the pictures
