2002 VW Eurovan GLS We are selling our 2002 VW Eurovan. It's been a great van for us over the years and we have truly enjoyed it. It too can be a wonderful van for another adventurous family, soccer mom who doesn't find the traditional mini vans appealing, a business owner who wants to profile in style, another VW LoVeR like us, a college student who wants to stand out from the average college driver, or a new teenage driver who wants to roll around with class but with the assurance that they will be safe in the event of a crash. This van is much more roomy than most mini vans out there. It's build solid and drives smooth. Our family is going up much faster than we dare to think about and this is just too much van for us. Therefore, it's time for us to downsize some. We are the 3rd owners, respectively. There's a funny story that goes along with this van in regards to the owners. We were to purchase this van from the original owner, he sold it an hour before we arrived to another family. The mother of the family found that the driver & sliding door was much heavier than her old Ford van's doors & decided that her Ford van was much more suited for her & their 6 children. So, they posted the van back up for sale within days of purchasing it. We saw it posted AGAIN, called them & long story short, they hadn't even gotten the license tags for the van from Raleigh or title when we agreed to purchase it from them. It's been our baby since then! We get many ohhhhs and ahhhhs over this van when we drive it. It's a sure fire head turner. We have title in hand. It also has the touring Roof Rack, European Angel Eyes headlights, Timing Chain has been changed and we have always been on top of regular maintances/oil changes. No accidents. We have taken many vacations to the mountains and beach with this vehicle. We wouldn't hesitate today to pack it up & go for a week long road trip. With that being said, This is not a new van it is 10 years old. So, it does have some signs of the times. Hey, but you won't be disappointed. I will tell you that the power door locks has some kind of faulty sensor in it. The driver's door must be unlocked first to unable access of the other door's openings. According to our mechanic its an easy fix, but we don't want to invest in doing it at this point. It has not posed that much of a bothersome problem for us, so we have just rolled with it.
