You are bidding on a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (P71) offered for sale by the City of Durant, Iowa. As you can see by the photos, this is a very SHARP CAR!! It is dark blue pearl clearcoat with a dark gray interior. This is a retired police patrol car that was purchased new in Dec. ’03 and was in regular service until June of ’12 when its replacement arrived. At the time of this writing, it had 121,608 miles which may be slightly higher at the time of sale as it is still used for transportation to court, meetings, training, etc. The body is in excellent shape with a few minor scratches and dings as one would expect after police service. There is some paint flaking around the fuel door, under the trunk lid and rear passenger door however it is noticeable only with trunk or gas lid open. There is some bubbling at the top of the 'chrome' grill. I blame Ford. The hole in the top (light bar) and the two in the trunk (antennas) have been plugged and sealed. The interior is in excellent condition. All seats are cloth and the flooring is carpet. There is some wear on the driver’s seat, the passenger seat and rear seat are in nearly new condition. It is equipped with an AM/FM/Cassette stereo, A/C, PS, PB, PW, cruise, power driver’s seat, rear window defroster w/outside heated mirrors, street appearance package (‘chrome’ grill, inserts in bumpers, door handle trim and rear trunk/taillight trim), anti-lock brakes, driver’s side spot light, traction control, driver/passenger and side airbags, stainless steel dual exhaust and 200 amp alternator, full wheel covers, full size spare tire. The only known issues are: the A/C had to be recharged this summer, probably a minor freon leak somewhere, there is some moisture in the driver's side headlight assembly and it could also use two tires. Drive line – 4.6L OHC, 250 hp engine is in good shape as is the AOD transmission. Oil was changed and engine serviced every 3,000 miles. A/C compressor replaced in Aug. ’10, new front shocks in Jan. ’11, water pump and thermostat in Feb. ’11. Tires are good with two new in Oct. of ’11 (less than 5,000 miles on them). Intake manifold was replaced in Jan. ’12 due to a cracked heater hose connector. This vehicle is being sold ‘as is’ and carries no warranty either expressed, written or implied.
