Vehicle Detail
I bought this car while living in Arizona in 2008 with a blown engine. My plan was to put in a new engine and replace my Ford Escort Diesel as my daily driver to and from work. However my wife contracted cancer which put things on hold and it sat until this summer. We have since retired early due to her condition and relocated in South Carolina. I am an ASE Master Diesel Mechanic and installed a professionally rebuilt engine. The engine is strong and runs perfectly. The 4 speed manual transmission works perfectly. The A/C works properly an is super cold. The car showed 176000 miles when I bought it and it now has 177000. I have broken in the engine, and performed the 500 mile service of changing the oil and filters, re-torqued the head, and adjusted the valves. It should be noted that this is a southern Arizona car that has no rust on it anywhere. I have run a VIN check and it is clean. However the left rear quarter shows some waviness so it must have been in a minor accident at some time. Tires have good tread and are servicable. I should ad that both front door gaskets have been replaced and when replacing the motoir the injector nozzles were cleaned, pop tested, and recalibrated. Also the radiator was cleaned and the injection pump was recalibrated. Features: Crusie Control (It Works) Power sun roof Power Steering (No Leaks) Power Brakes Central Locking Power Antenna AM-FM, CD, MP3 player The following has been done also: 1. New rear brakes 2. Ft brakes inspected and 80% linings left 3. New clutch (with the engine install) 4. New Battery 5. New rear axle boots 6. New Exhaust and muffler hangers 7. Headlights aimed properly It has the following items that are serviceable but could use improving 1. Vinyl on the Seats have some cracks in the front 2. Stitching at the top of the back seat is coming apart from the Arizona sun (see photos) 3. Dash has several cracks but is covered with a dash mat 4. Paint is shiny and serviceable but could be improved with buffing.
