Vehicle Detail
Up for auction, and at NO RESERVE the first bid past $4500.00 wins this unrestored original, the odometers reads 75k and some change given the condition of the truck I have no reason to doubt its accuracy. The Vin Number can be decoded in this manner F10JK100207 F10 = F100-2 wheel drive J = 6cyl K = Kansas City, Mo. assembly plant 100207 = it was the 207th truck to roll off the line at that plant in 1961 I usually pick up vehicles like this to tinker with work on and such, I didn't get to do anything with this one other than change fluids filters and plugs! I rebuilt the carb out of sheer boredom. This little jewel will take you done the road as far as you care to go her sweet spot is about 60 to 65 mph she will go faster but is really too low geared to do it for long distances I live in west Texas and on days over 100 degrees she never runs hot. and during the winter the heater will darn near roast you. I would love to keep the little truck as I do feel it is one of those once in a lifetime vehicles, but I have run out of room. The all original glass is perfect as is the felt surrounds the chrome work show at about an 8 out of 10 we should all be so lucky to look this good at 51. The flaws are the seat on the drivers side has a tear I am sure from age I have a seat cover that most of us put in these trucks as kids installed, The truck at some point in its life belonged to a garage and some of the signage is still on the doors I love the look and didn't want to mess with the original lacquer paint, so I left them. Thats are the only deteracters like all vehicles with age they have dings and bumps to collectors now a days its called patina. All and I do mean all the electronics work lights blinkers, wipers, heater fan, horn all function perfectly. The vehicle is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction but my auctions usually run the full course, please check out my feed back especially on vehicles I have sold.
