1971 240Z. This original car is unrestored because it never needed it. It has lived inside most of its life. The engine was replaced with an L-26 years ago when it was still under warranty. While in the shop the fender got scratched and they ended up repainting the whole car the same color. It's been well cared for since. The car was just serviced and I had the timing chain and gears replaced. Removed the head and had the valve seats checked and replaced with a new head gasket,water pump, intake, and exhaust gaskets, plugs and belts. Rebuilt and balanced the twin Hitachi carbs. Replaced the points with electronic Petronix ignition. The engine runs strong and smooth. The auto transmission has never had a problem. Tires are new BFG Radial T/A. This car has no rust anywhere and nothing has been cut out or replaced. Just kept it out of the rain. The body is all straight and the paint is still very nice. Glass is all good with only one rock chip in windshield. Door windows roll good. Weather seals are all good. No rips or tears in the interior. Missing the 2 screw covers to the passenger side door pull strap.The carpet is excellent.There is a replacement cap installed on the dash top. Gauges all work although the clock is slow. Hitachi AM/FM works. Wipers and lights all work right. Heater and fans work. Interior is very nice condition. This car is a good driver and is ready to go anywhere. Reason I'm selling is I simply need the room in my shop. This is a very nice 240z to have, so good luck bidding. Maybe it's because of the poor over exposed pictures. I tried to upload new ones but couldn't with existing bids. This car really stands out and draws attention where ever it goes. There is no rust because it is kept inside out of the weather . This car is the real thing. Others have spent thousands of dollars and hours restoring theirs just to get to the condition this car is still in. Why spend all that money and time to end up with a cut up car, with aftermarket panels and parts when you can have the one Datsun really made. It' really that good. Don't over look it.
