Vehicle Detail
WELCOME TO CIRCLE CLASSICS!! Up for sale is my personal 1986 K5 GMC JIMMY HIGH SIERRA. The exterior is bright red with a tan removable roof. Interior is tan vinyl buckets in the front and bench in the back. Drivetrain is a 305V8 with a 700r4 4 speed automatic transmission. Options include 4x4, power windows, power locks, rear power window, tilt wheel, factory am/fm digital cassette, delay wipers, High Sierra trim package which includes outer chrome trim and mouldings, hood ornament, rallye wheels with trim rings, and quad lamps up front, and sliding rear glass windows. This truck was serviced and has had oil and filter change, complete tune-up, air filter and gas filter. Tires were put on about 10,000 mles ago with BF GOODRICH Long Trail T/As. The previous owner removed all of the emissions and hooked everything up correctly and it runs better than it ever did, and it passes NYS Inspections with no problem. Inder the hood is 100% stock looking. The original computerized carb is on there now and runs like new, but I have the correct 4bbl carb (non emmissioned from a 1979 truck) that is currrently out being rebuilt I will include it in the sale. The exhaust exits in front of the left rear wheel, I got it that way so I left it. The air conditoning was charged in April and was cold until recently so it does have a leak somewhere. Engine and transmission were rebulit at 115,000 a few years back. This truck runs, shifts and feels like a new truck. no surprises what so ever. The body is an original rust free truck and was painted professionally in 2011. Most of the trim was replaced, what wasnt was cleaned or restored. The original color was brown, but it was taken apart and everything was painted red, you would never know there was a color change unless you look at the tag from the factory. Black step boards in metal were installed for easier entrance and exits. Underneath is soild but it had some minor metal repair when it was redone, but there is some very minor rust forming in spots on the floorboards as I keep it outside under a cover, but the frame, and all lines are very solid. When it was redone the undercarriage was pressure washed and painted with POR 15 and looks great. The interior is original except for the seats, they were replaced with Suburban arm rest seats, they are much more comfortable, but the original seat holes are visible but sealed shut. The right side seat used to flip up to the windshield for rear seat access but now you must rotate the knob to the relciner to get in the back, so the original parts are still in the floor. Not even noticeable but I believe in being honest. I just bought and installed a new dash pad, repaired all the factory gauges, an repaired and installed the factory radio with 4 new speakers from GM. The carpets are nice not torn, just your normal 26 year old looking carpets. Seats are vinyl and in great shape, just a little wear on the passengers front, very minor. Overall this a great looking and running truck that can be used or shown at cruise nights and car shows. With a little time it can be a show truck with very little effort. I currently work for the airline that went bankrupt, I havent been there long and all toys must go as my jobs on the line. I bought this truck to use in the winter, to get to the airport, but we didnt have one last year and I wont need it this one.
