Vehicle Detail

In 2006 my good friend and Chevy collector, R.C.DeFoor left us. One of his last requests was for each family member to have one of his collection. Fourteen cars were kept. In 2007 I had the privilege to conduct the auction of the remaining 70 cars. This year, none of the 14 cars the family kept had been started or moved, since 2006, the decision was made to keep only 6 and have the others used and enjoyed by collectors. I was contacted, all cars were evaluated, gathered and relocated to my building in Macon, Georgia. All cars now have new batteries, have been started and have brakes. None have been driven, so assume there will be some long term storage issues to address. The cars included in this offering are; 1929 Ford Model A 4 dr restored, 1938 Chevy 4 dr very nice, 1948 Chevy 2dr Fleetline Aerosedan really nice, 1949 Chevy 4dr Fleetline DeLuxe with 19k miles, 1951 Chevy 2dr with 12k miles , 1955 Chevy 4dr Bel Air loaded with options including factory air, 1956 GMC pick up with a fresh body off restoration, 1978 Cadillac Seville 19k miles 100% original, plus a 1923 Buick series 55 4dr touring car. I may be contacted through E-bay mail, by phone @ 478-808-6067, by direct E mail 425farms@att.net … Thanks Bill BonbrakeThis is a fully restored A Model, the restoration is several years old however the car has not been driven since restored. The car is a two tone green with black fenders. The body and paint are excellent, the interior is all like new, engine and under hood are very nice, chrome is very good, tires are like new, the top and running boards are excellent. There is a box of misc small extra parts in back seat. The only thing I see that this car needs is a really good cleaning and waxing. As I was doing a crawl under the bottom side is as clean as the top side. This is a Georgia car so NO title, it has a current georgia registration that may be converted to a title in your state. I remember this car as one of the last cars RC was working on, which would date the restoration to around 2004. After installing a new battery we cleaned fuel lines, rebuilt the carb and it started easily. On Aug-22-12 at 19:55:05 PDT, seller added the following information: 8/22 10;30pm IMPORTANT BIDDERS PLEASE READ The A model also got from air and bath today. The big change is in the condition of the paint, if you have bid and this info changes your opinon of the car PLEASE feel free to retract your bid or bids. I have adjusted the reserve accordingly. In the original description I said paint was excellent. After washing and hand drying the car I found both front fenders have some micro bubbles, they are small but we all know they eventually break and the part needs repainting. I applied some compound to the green and it came out great. I tried to photo the front fenders but the dots were to small to be seen. The wood is all solid the body is very good but assume at some point you will need to paint the black. The photos show about a 10inch section of the drivers side running board where paint was scraped, also { a poor photo} on the right rear fender one bolt head has a paint chip about 1/2 inch long. One more item both the radiator shell and the headlights are not bright chrome. This is still a very nice solid car. Box of parts; 2 manuals, paint, lots of spark plugs, gasket set with some I assume used on the engine, breaker plate, fuel shut off, unknown stuff, dist cap, water pump clamps and misc, nothing great.
